FEELING FESTIVE

Hi I have my third and final KERST/CHRISTMAS DT card to show for this month, I normally only make two but I could not resist using this image from one of our sponsors Last Minute Manda it's called Shabby Chic Snowman

I used my MCS programme for the background and the golden swirl overlay that was from WeAre3 who are , sadly no longer in production, I stamped the sentiment and mounted it onto black card as with the main card.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:

I have just finished visiting some of my followers blogs and, as always, amazed at their most beautiful work, Flowers and Spring seem to be the main topic I think people need some colour and sun in their lives after the Winter months ever though we have had a mild Winter the nights are starting to get lighter and the Spring flowers are blossoming it does make one feel a little brighter as well.

I feel, after seeing so many beautiful creations, that I am stuck in my own little crafting world, the new techniques I see some using look fantastic, the use of colours and inks is something I could never really capture I do try to add a bit of va va vroom to my makes but I am not as experimental as some that is why I so admire and respect each and every crafter I am inspired at times but due to my craft facilities being split in two I am restricted in some areas but I am so appreciative of the visits that are made and comments left on my blog and Facebook.

I have one more card to share with you but I am not entering into any challenges I made this card using a Freebie from Blessed Crafters on Facebook

Wow that is the prettiest snowman I've ever seen Lolo! Brilliant way to create the border with the overlay! I love it! Your second card is so pretty with your coloring and I love the happy colors on those eggs! I feel that every crafter has their own unique take on things and it's great to see so many different things because it gives me ideas and inspiration. I love what you come up with and enjoy seeing your things my friend! Well done being you!

That's a perfect snowman for Christmas with the Cuties Lorraine, I love the vintage look. I know what you mean about getting stuck in your own style. I am trying really hard this year to try different techniques. I was recently gifted some distress Inks so am keen to have a go at making some backgrounds. I've also been using forgotten stash and that seems to have given me a different outlook too. Male cards have always been struggle for me so I am trying really hard to make more!Wish me luck with that!! xx

Lovely cards.
I know what you mean about the style of crafting, I see some wonderful makes, then go to my desk and make the same style again as I have made before!!

Fabulous hybrid Christmas card Lorraine, that snowman is really cute and love how you paired him with those golden swirls.
The second card has a so beautiful design and palette, I think you have stencilled the background with DI Vintage Photo, it's right? It looks great with the scallop circles!
We all are very critic with our own works and skills! Anyone has a different style and it's no easy experiment new techniques and ways to think about our own creativity. I always admire your professional designs and your colouring.
I'm not good at CAS cards and at colouring, neither to make accurate mats and a lot of other things aren't my cup of tea. I'm a free-player as are the kids, not so much professional. But sometimes there is someone's work that inspires me to go out of my usual, to try different streets and improve my skills. Going out from our own comfort zone it's never easy to do.

Hi Lorraine, what a lovely snowman did you use on your beautiful card and your card with the colorful eggs looks nice and festive. I love the inked background. I think your cards are always looking great but we all are extra critical on our own makings.
The most important thing is that you're enjoying your hobby and can relax while doing it. :)
Greetings Miranda

Your snowman card is delightful Lorraine, the soft colours and swirly background is perfect with the sweet image. The second card is beautifully coloured, those colourful eggs really pop against the beautiful earthy colours of the rest of the design.
I know what you mean about admiring other people's blogs- I'm in awe of how adventurous and creative some of them are, always up for trying something new and producing works of art, an inspiration to all of us...BUT I do think that the most important thing is to relax and enjoy what we do, it shouldn't be stressful- try new techniques if you feel inspired but otherwise, relax, enjoy and be justly proud of your beautiful creations.

Two such gorgeous creations Lorraine. It must be very confusing having your craft things spread over two homes, I get confused with it all in the one place. 🤣

I agree about other crafters too, to see how experimental they are makes me a little envious, but I don't think through things enough to do anything as they do. As for your cards, the Christmas one is gorgeous, a shame about WeAre3. Love your floral snowman too and the lovely sentiment. Love the choice of colours and design on your Easter card. x
