ROSE IN STORM

Hi all, tonight I have a card to share with you that I finished yesterday I have used a new (to me) image from Ching-Chou Kuik she is called Rose in Storm which I thought was highly appropriate considering the awful weather we are having and apparently due to have in the coming days.
I have gone for a rather dramatic colour combo of black and yellow, I coloured the image with Graph It Markers and Copics for the skin tones.  The black cardstock I embossed with a rose embossing folder, I used my Tonic die for the trellis then added some Cosmic Black Pearl PVA for the pearls, finally I added a new Kanban floral sentiment that I got in the post yesterday and some roses and white organza bow.

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges:
Many thanks for visiting me and the lovely comments that you leave.

The chipboard embellishment, sentiment and heart shaped pins are all new to my never ending stock, lol.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:

This one is a pre coloured image available HERE
I actually printed her off several times the cut pieces out and decoupaged her

My next card is using image 479 HERE

With the next image I actually made two cards, same image, different colours she is available HERE

EXCITING NEWS
I made it onto the DT at
OUR BLINKIE

how awesome is that, I was thrilled to have been chosen also very proud and honoured, thank you girls.
I am on the FAB  team so will be posting my first card in the next challenge which is WEDNESDAY 14TH so keep a look out for the posting.

It is blowing gale force winds here at the moment yet the sun is shining, although I see a few big black clouds hovering, it is also very cold so it looks like the heating will have to go on soon as mum is here and she feels the cold I do give her a nice blanket to cover her up and Jess rarely leaves her side so she is smothered in both love and warmth, lol.

See you all soon, have a lovely weekend and thank yo so very much for visiting me today

A LITTLE SASSY AND A BIG THANK YOU

Hi all, before I tell you about my card I wanted to give you all a big hug for the wonderful, heartfelt comments that I received on my previous post, I really didn't expect the response I got but it certainly put my mind at rest, your friendship is very precious to me and I am so proud to have you as friends so
THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH
I never gave a thought to people closing down blogs or blogs being deleted as they were no longer used but it makes sense that a New Year brings a new start for so many of us.  I have decided not to worry too much about it anymore and focus on my card making and you, that is what is important.

Today my card features a brand new image (to me) she is from the Sassy Cheryl range of digi images, I have seen these used by ANNIE who I think most of us know, I do get a lot of inspiration from so many of you and Annie is one of those people.
I treated myself to a couple of these fab little girls and coloured this one up with Graph It markers and Copics, she is called 'not so small'
I used my corner rounder punch on both the image and the pink card stock that she has been mounted onto.  The papers are Papermania Capsule collection, I also added some of my new little flowers with gems in the centre, I punched a couple of butterflies and added a double organza bow and sentiment.

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges:
Many thanks for visiting I will see you later.

A LITTLE SAD BUT FOREVER HOPEFUL

Hi all, I am a little sad today to find that I have lost not one but 2 treasured followers/supporters of my blog, I hope that I have not offended anyone, I know my work is not outstanding but each and every project is made with love and hopefully a little inspiration.
Sometimes I wonder if some find my comments insincere or OTT but I can assure everyone that they come from the heart as I tend to write what I feel for each creation I see.
I so appreciate every comment that is left for me on my postings I get a thrill when I read them, it gives me the will to go on creating and showing my latest makes, I do understand that sometimes life is difficult and it is not always possible to stop and take time out to leave a comment believe me I feel like that on some days when my depression is at it's worse, but to me you are all gems.
Well as my regular followers know it is very rare that I say more than a few words about anything really, I tend to focus on my post than on me, lol.

Anyhow onto my card for today, I have actually used my all time favorite AURORA WINGS image LITTLE ELF KIA
I always keep several of her printed ready to colour and I just felt the need to do just that, I have used Graph It Markers and Copics for the skin tones, the papers are Papermania Capsule collection, I have used mainly black, pink and a touch of green, I used my SU corner punch and double layered them I added some Cosmic Shimmer PVA Antique Green PVA for the pearls, I also added a couple of resin roses and sentiment
I have taken several photos as different angles so, hopefully, you can see the colouring effects

the top 2 pictures were edited with the 'sharpen' effect but on this occasion I think it has washed the colour out, it was too late for me to change them but the one below gives the softer look of Kia.

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges:
That is it from me today but I will be doing the rounds later so see you then.

SNOWFLAKES FALLING SOFTLY

Hi all, I expect everyone is busy getting all their Christmas jobs done, I have as well, but I did take time out to create this card, I felt the need to make something that I could share with you and to enter into some challenges, this is my penultimate, posting before the big day.
While digging through my stamp collection I found this little girl I have had her for quite a few years now, again it is one of the first rubber stamps that I bought from Funky Kits.
I stamped her with Memento Black Tuxedo ink and coloured her with Graph It Markers/Copics, I also added some glitter and Viva Decor.
The papers are Bearly Mine and all have been mounted onto black cardstock, I used the same cardstock for the punched snowflakes.
I stamped a sentiment, added some more Viva Decor to the centre of the snowflakes and Cosmic Shimmer Antique Pink PVA glue for the pearls around the card.

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges:
I will be visiting you later to see but I would like to thank everyone for visiting my blog and leaving me a comment, I appreciate it so much.

CHRISTMAS TIME

Hi all, I have a card that I would like to share with you and enter into some challenges.
I have been doing some commenting and noticed that quite a few have changed the commenting mode and turned on word verification, I haven't been on blogger until today so not aware of the problems, I do know that Blogger is on a go slow....again......also the pictures on some blogs are not showing up, I have been busy making yet another Christmas cake (my 4th) and finishing off my cards for the family, I am continuing with commenting after posting this card, I do hope that Blogger is not going to go rogue again I am still recovering from the last bout of problems.
Anyway onto my card, I have made a Christmas one but not in the traditional colours I have gone for pink and brown my all time favourite colour combo.  The papers are from Bearly Mine Designs who are unfortunately closing down, I have used a newer image from Sheri Baldy  this one is called Blakely Flower Hat, I have mounted both the papers and image onto gold mirri card, I added a triple pink organza bow, doily, pink flower pearls, pink and brown Poinsettia's, stamped sentiment and punched gold snowflakes, the image I coloured with Graph It Markers and Copics.

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges:
I would like to thank you all for visiting, and for leaving me such wonderful comments, I do hope that you do not encounter any problems but are allowed to enjoy what I have posted. Take care.

MUMS BIRTHDAY

Hi all, today it is raining, windy and very cold, yesterday the sun was shining although still very cold, I have finally resorted to putting the heating on for an hour at night.  Last night we had a power failure and lost all electric for 2 hours mum had come round while my brother went out for a few hours so I was glad I had her for company.  Jess is frightened of the fireworks so kept cuddled up with mum.
A week this coming Sunday mum will be 95 years young so I have been making some cards for her, this one i am sharing with you today is for my son James to give to her.
I have used a digital image from Besties and is a little different to the usual 'big eyes' images, she is called 'Sweet Lil Rose' I have coloured her with Graph It Markers and Copics, I doodled the frame, added some gold leaf around the edging and mounted her onto Bazzill cardstock. The base card is from Hunkydory, I folded the A4 sheet in half then cut is down to make a square, I then measured the edges, cut then embossed fold lines to make a side step card, I added a double bow using organza and gingham ribbon, the banners I adhered using 3d foam pads, flowers, sentiment then found an old wood mounted stamp 'Nan' and stamped it on the image.

BLUE CHRISTMAS AND JESS AND EDDIE

Hi all I have managed to catch up on some commenting and have taken a few photos of Jess and Eddie.  I am so overwhelmed by your kindness and your best wishes for Eddie, things are getting a little better each day, I will try and write more detail a little later, I thank you all so very much.

My card was made for a certain challenge but did not get posted so I have saved it for now, I thought it was to lovely not to show you all.
I have used an image from FITZTOWN called WINTER 8,  I have coloured her with graph it markers and copics for the skin tones.  The papers are LOTV and the sentiment is Kanban, I think.  The image and papers have all been mounted onto black card stock.
I found out recently that the dotty effect that I use for the fur has a name it is called Pointillism, when I received one of the weekly tutorials from Splitcoast Stampers it was featured on there, and there was me thinking that i had come up with a new colouring invention, lol. I also saw it demonstrated on Create and Craft when they launched the newest marker on the market Chameleon Markers, they looked nice but gosh a little pricey for me I'm afraid, besides I love what I have.
I would like to enter my card into the following challenges:
Now onto my pictures of the doggies, meet Eddie a 3 year old Maltese Terrier, he is much smaller than Jess and so lovable, until 3 weeks ago he had never been taken out for walk or had a lead put on him and never been socialised with people but he is the friendliest dog you could wish to meet.
here is both Jess and Eddie having a good ole sniff around the garden.
I will be showing some more photos as time goes on, Eddie had had a haircut as when he was first taken in by the rescue home his hair was matted, it is not the best of haircuts, lol, but I am planning on taking him to the groomers for a nice bath and proper hairdo,

This is what a Maltese Terrier looks like with a full coat of hair, they have no undercoat so do not molt but can catch colds so when I take Eddie out he has a little coat on him
Eddie will not be looking like the one above but may look like this, as time goes on
Many thanks for visiting I will see you soon but it may be spasmodic for the next week or two.

WARM HUGS

Hi all, today the sun is shining and I am going on a little journey the first that I have taken in several years, I am nervous and apprehensive but also excited.
For a very long time now, since my Polo left me, I have wanted to give a home to a rescue dog, I have been looking and have found a little chappie that I am hoping will be a friend, companion and playmate for my Jess.
Today we are going to visit that little doggy and I am keeping my fingers crossed that Jess and little Eddie will like each other.  I have passed the house check and today is the day that may be the start of a new life for little Eddie.  Eddie is a 3 year old Maltese Terrier he is currently in a foster home but looking for a 'forever' home, I would love that to be ours.
Jess loves to play with small dogs, she is very wary of big dogs as they have chased her so many times when out for a walk that she has become quite frightened of them.  Sometimes her confidence is strong and she tells them off but on most occasions she just runs off.
However, the scene is totally different with dogs more her size she loves them, she is nearly always the first to go say hello and invites them to play with her, when I see her playing it warms my heart so much to see her enjoying life.  I have more than enough love in my heart to share with another little dog and I pray it will be Eddie.  Wish Jess and me luck.
Gosh I am not one that normally writes a big post but I wanted to share my news with you all.
Now onto my card share for today.
I made this card a few days ago it features one of my most favourite Tilda stamps, I have coloured the image with Graph It Markers and Copics for the skin tones, I have doodled the frame, I mounted the image onto black card stock, the papers are a mixture, the red is Hobby Craft the brown is Dovecraft, all have been mounted onto gold mirri card. I have added a glittered star and Christmas gift also a couple of red bows, a sentiment and some Pinflair snow dust and ice that I have mixed together in a pot.

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges:

Many thanks to each and everyone who has visited and left me some wonderful comments I am very grateful for the time that have taken to visit, see you soon.

GDT FOR THE ABC CHALLENGE-U FOR UNIQUE

Hi all, I was chosen as one of the top 5 in the ABC challenge last month then invited to be their GDT for the month of October, well here I am showing off my UNIQUE project which is a double card tag, if that doesn't make sense then follow me onto my picture display and details......but first let me tell you about the challenge itself.
Grab our Badge
Ok let me explain what I have done, I had a bit of a brainwave, lol, I bought some very large tags last month 8.5" x 3.5", I covered one with some Christmas paper from a pad that I have had for awhile, I then added a 5" x 5" card tag, I covered the top of the card tag with some more of the Christmas paper and re-punched the holes in both the card and tag so I could pull the ribbon through, are you with me so far?
I then adhered a white doily to the reverse of the card tag and glued it to the large tag.
I then started to add my embellishments and image,  my embellishments consist of some postage stamps that are part of one of the Christmas paper designs I chose some and cut them out, I also added a sentiment banner, snowflake and a flower.
This next picture is a closer look at my image which of course is Tilda she is a Christmas Tilda that I have had for a few years but she can be used for any occasion, I stamped her with Momento Tuxedo ink, coloured her with Graph It Markers then cut her out, I also stamped out the candy cane and bow image which is also from Magnolia, I cut it out and sat Tilda on it.
The next picture shows the inside of the card tag, I used some more of the papers, stamped a sentiment then punched it out.
The next picture show a different view
my final picture shows a close up Tilda
After reading my details and seeing the pictures I hope it now all makes sense, lol, if not just ask me some questions.
I have scheduled this post but would like to enter my card into the following challenges, I will be back a little later to link them up.
See you later xx
