16 Sept 2010

Hi I wanted to show you a few cards that I have made these last few days. The first one is for a challenge at Die Cut Dreams the theme being Sweet Little Girl
and the second challenge is Glitterbabe's - Anything Goes
I have used a Meljen image of the little girl with her teddy coloured with Copics, I wrote the 'happy days' around the circle free hand.  The papers are Basic Grey, I made the roses myself with the same paper and added Diamond stickles, I have added pink iridescent gems, pearls, ribbon and butterflies also with Diamond Stickles so it sparkles lovely.

These next two cards are not for any challenges but for my son who will be 20 yrs old next Tuesday.
I have used a Sassy Lady on the first card coloured with Copics.
The second card I have used a Meljen image I chose this one as my son loves to eat 'hot' food, the hotter the better, curry, chilli he loves it.
I have used 'hot' colours and just went with the flow on this one
All Meljen images are available at Whimsy Stamps.
I hope you like my cards and have enjoyed your visit I am grateful for all the wonderful comments that I receive.
Big hugs see you later.

Smile Please

Hi all another hot day but thankfully it is cooling down this evening so I feel more comfortable using the computer lol.
I have been busy stamping colouring some images and this is the first one I am showing.
I have made this card for a few challenges as follows:
I was having a look through my stamps and found this one which I think is Cuddly Buddly I stamped him with Momento Cocoa Brown and coloured with Copics I cut him out using my scalloped Nestie I then used the scallops to make a frame.  I added some lace and blue ribbon and some blue card candy.
I am not used to doing clean and simple so I hope it is ok and that you like it.
I have also started to put my name as creator on the card and thought I had put it in the right place but maybe it should have been lower down at the bottom.
I have sent this card to a Post Pal which I have never done before and I am hoping to send some more if you would like to send a card to a Post Pal just click on the link at the top of my left side bar.

Summertime Fever

Well it appears that Summer has arrived we have been forecast rain now for a week but nothing the sun is shinning again today. I trust my little barometer more than the weather man and it is sticking on fair. This is a four in one and wasn't sure about it still not actually I know you all get those days and cards when you look at it and think ummmmm I am not sure well this is one of those for me. I have used the sketch from Mojo Monday, the colours are for the new challenge blog (well new to me) Rosie-Dee's the theme being 'Pink and Lime', Die Cut Dreams is 'Spots and Polka Dots' and finally Just Magnolia 'Summer'. I hope it is ok. hugs to all oh and please check the first post of the day below. I am not sure if I will have anymore to show today I am finding it a bit difficult to fit things in but I will be doing my daily rounds to your lovely blogs a bit later. Many thanks for having a look and the comments you are leaving are wonderful and really help to keep me going.

Time To Enjoy

Hello all afraid I haven't been doing much these last couple of days as my mum is still here so I am restricting my craft time. Some of you have been asking if my mum is a crafter but unfortunately no she isn't but she adores my work. Her eyesight is failing but she still does her knitting she has been into that all her life so she doesn't even have to look I have always been in awe of how good she is. When we were little she kitted our cardigans and jumpers and anything else we needed there are seven of us so it kept her busy. She always knitted them with images on I think my favourite was a lovely white thick cardy with a collar and she had knitted red flowers scattered about as the pattern and they were big red flowers not little wee ones. She has also knitted dolls dresses oh boy the lists go on and most of them she has donated to charity.

Anyway onto this card the stamp is called 'Diggin Albert' and is the prize I won from The Crafty Pad challenge and I thought straight away that it would fit the new challenge over at Die Cut Dreams the theme being 'Green Fingers' also I will be entering into Card Inspirations which is the sketch. I coloured Albert with promarkers and used a selection of Bearlymine and SU papers and Fred She Said flowers. Hope you like it, I have managed to do one more but not sure if I will post it tonight. Hugs to all.
