Hi all, today I have a festive card to share with you and enter some challenges. It is something that I have not done before and unsure whether I like it or not. A little while back I bought some cards from Anne Marie that are a new shape a 12" x 6" they are very big so there is a lot to fill. I recorded the programme from C&C to watch how Anne Marie created her card and this is my take on the design.
I used gold vellum topped with Kanban spotty card that I tore around the edges then distressed with TH vintage photo ink I then added some stickle glitter for some sparkle, I used a circle die cut in white topped with a gold vellum butterfly circle die by Joy Designs, then the 'fun' started, I added a die cut sentiment, I used my spell binder scalloped circles on some gold crepe paper which I then crinkled for the flowers, I added some white frosted berries for their centres, I also added some green frosted berries, white glass cones, green and white carnations, natural fibres, die cut twigs, holly berry, wooden snowflake, bark heart, bark star, silver die cut branch, wooden reindeer, gold bow, a wooden bauble that I attached with twine and distressed then adhered a scalloped die cut crepe paper circle to which I stamped a sentiment, I cut out a Squirrel from some Hunkydory card used some silicone glue to stick him to a cocktail stick, finally I went over everything with white sparkle stickles.
I am not sure that I am pleased with the design but I must admit it does have presence, lol.
I would like to enter my card into the following challenges:
I have not been around these last few days but have finally caught up with everyone who has left me a comment on my previous posts I hope to get some more visiting done a little later. I have been inundated with requests for Christmas cards and still have a few special ones of my own to make so I am feeling a little pressured as a lot of us are at the moment.
I do thank you so much for taking time out to visit me especially at such a busy time of year.
hugs
