Stamping Vacation Sketch Therapy

Morning all the new monthly sketch therapy challenge starts today at Stamping Vacation and this is the new sketch.
and here is my card.

I actually used this card for my son's 20th birthday in September and he was very pleased with it.
I have used one of Teri's images from Digi Doodles, I think this would look brilliant as a tattoo as well. I went with a black and white theme the papers are Papermania (I think) I found some thin black and white ribbon while sorting through my stash I cut the circle using my circle cutter and added some card candy.
I hope you like my card and please use the sketch and come join us at Stamping Vacation where you will find all different challenges for the month.

For my card I chose all the colours of Autumn the base card is orange, the papers are Basic Grey, I cut three layers of circle Nesties, added some leaves which I rubbed some yellow, orange and gold ink onto, I also added some lace and ribbon, the flowers I made by using two different sizes of six petal punches, the colours are the same as the base card and papers, I put a brad in the centre then scrunched them up I added a little bronze glittered stickles to the centres, I added gems also in matching colours the image is from QKR Stampede I coloured him with promarkers.
Gosh I think this is the most challenges I have entered one card into for a very long time, I hope you like my work on this one, thank you so much for looking and hopefully leave a comment.

This time around we are lucky enough to have The Cutting Cafe as our sponsor. They have such a variety of products over there all of which are so fun to work with! They are giving the winner of this challenge 3 sets of their choice! Thanks Regina!

Here is my DT project I am showing several photos so you can have a good view.

I decided to make another 'Slim Jane' tall box and a small 'Soap Box' which is a first for me.
I have used orange base card for both projects the papers are both Bearlymine. The images of the bats and bird on the 'Slim Jane' box are from Chi Chi Memories, the image on the front of 'Soap Box' is Digital Delights, all images have been coloured with promarkers.
This is a side view of the 'Slim Jane' tall box.
These next two photos show a closer look of the bats, bird and bp the owl I used on the tag
The photo below is a closer look at the 'Soap Box'
For this one I rounded off the edges, the flowers I punched using a 1" six petal punch.
The photo above is a side view, below shows the box opened up.
As well as the flowers and bp I also added black grosgrain ribbon and card candy,  there is a little gift bottle inside, I wanted to use a bottle of Pot Pourri essence but couldn't find it so I had to make a substitute.
I hope you have enjoyed my little project and maybe this will give you a little inspiration but for even more wonderful viewings please go visit my DT sisters their work is awesome.
I do hope you will come join our challenge over the next two weeks we really want to see your creativity.
Hugs to all see you later.
Tutorial for the Soap Box is HERE

Just For You

Hi all this is a quick posting, I tried to upload this a few hours ago but the new editor didn't seem to like my picture.  This card I made for a couple of challenges which are as follows:
I have used an A6 card base the image is a Forever Friends stamp that I purchased ages ago and have only ever used it once before.  I used Momento Tuxedo Black in then coloured with Copics, I added some flowers and used Pink Liquid Pearls for their centres.
Thank you for looking, hugs to all.

28 Sept 2010

Hi all these are a couple of cards I made for a few challenges which are as follows:
I have used one of my PB stamps a firm favourite of mine which I coloured with promarkers, the papers are a mix but the two square papers are Basic Grey, appropriately called Indian Summer.  I used that same paper to punch the flowers and butterflies, I also added three strips of ribbon.

This second card is for the following challenges:
I finally got my House Mouse Stamps out inked this one up with Momento Black Ink and coloured with promarkers, I have used a mixture of papers, added lace, crystal effect hearts, butterflies, flowers and charm.

I hope you have enjoyed looking at my cards and any feedback good or bad is most welcome.
I am sending hugs to all and see you in a bit.

Digital Tuesday Challenge DT Card

Hi all today we have a new challenge for you at Digital Tuesday and this week it is my turn to choose the theme which is
THANK YOU OR GIVE THANKS
this is what we would like to see on your cards/projects, maybe you want to thank someone or give thanks for something special.

It will soon be time of Harvest Festival which was in my mind when I thought of this theme, I used to love this celebration when I was a young girl in The Salvation Army.  The church was always full, we had real bread made into the shape of corn and plaited, everyone took some sort of home grown vegetables, it was all put on show at the front of the church.  Although it was Autumn I always felt so warm in the company of so many friendly people.  I was in the choir and also played the tambourine, three of my brothers all played an instrument in the band.
Anyway enough of my memories onto the challenge.

This weeks sponsor is

The winner of this challenge will receive 1 set of images and 30% discount off purchases from My Grafico store.

My Grafico gave the DT the set "Fancy Flowers" by Lindsay's Stamp Stuff to work with.

I had already made my card using a Precious Moments image as you can see below.

Although I love this image so much I am not sure about the rest of the design, it was not what I had envisaged in my mind.  I would be interested to see what you think of it, I am sitting on the fence so to speak.
I coloured the image with Copics, the side panel I embossed then punched holes and threaded some ribbon I also added some card candy.

For some wonderful inspiration please have a look at the DT projects they are beautiful.

We look forward to seeing you at the challenge sending hugs to all and see you later.
