A GIFT BAG AND JESSIE

Hi all, I have been having ago at making something a little different and made some gift bags, this is one of them.

The size is 6 x 4 (not including the handle) so it is quite large and only one piece of A4 card used, this bag is one that is made from white linen card stock, the topper is constructed with silver mirri card, white card embossed with my Cuttlebug 'Snow' folder, silver mirri card die cut frame from Marianne Creatables, some more snow embossed card and finally a Cuddly Buddly Snowman Digi coloured with promarkers. I added a white organza and thin silver ribbon tied together in a double bow finally some flowers and Viva Decor for some more snow effect around the snowman. I used some silver tissue paper for the inside, it will be filled with goodies for the next Christmas Holidays.

I thought that you might also like to see some new photos of Jess, she is such a fun little girl and makes everyone smile but what a little imp she is as well, lol.

She has decided to help me out in the garden so when she sees me digging something up she does as well, my bulbs and new shoots are getting a chewing as well, lol.

Some Good News For Me

Hi my friends I don't normally say anything about my wins but I just had to share this news with someone and I thought of you all.

Just before Christmas I was asked if I would like to make a card to enter into a Christmas card competition run by Money Supermarket on Pinterest, of course I could not refuse such a kind invitation.

I was informed this morning that I won 2nd Prize of £100 in Hobbycraft Vouchers, I was gobsmacked and thrilled to bits.

This was the Shadow Box card that I entered.

Here is my DT card

I have used of my older stamps from Funky Kits called Daisy I have coloured her with Promarkers. The papers I have used are from the digi sets Damask and Vintage, I decided to go for a purple colour way this time.

I have made another gift card holder with an embossed 12 x 12 card stock, I have used purple textured card for mounting the papers and for the scalloped circle, I used some gold glitter, purple gingham ribbon, viva decor, flowers and butterfly.

The inside I kept simple and added lace and stamped sentiment

OOH LA LA CHALLENGE #121

Oh my goodness I am right out of sync at the moment I totally did not realise that it was time for me to post my DT card for our new challenge at

OOH LA LA CREATIONS

the theme is

HAPPY BIRTHDAY

which i think is nearly as easy as anything goes as we always seem to need a birthday card

for my DT card I have used one of the images from the new CD

YESTERDAY'S MEMORIES

now onto the details of my card, I just love this image those chicks look such fun, I printed out the topper and mounted onto yellow/orangy card, I have used an embossed panel mounted onto the same card stock then mounted onto a 6x6 card, i also added a Memory Box die cut at the bottom I have used TH distress ink to give the card a more aged look, finally I added some gold Viva Decor.

WHOOPSIE DAISY CHALLENGE

It is time for our new challenge at

WHOOPSIE DAISY

the theme this week is

DIE CUTS AND PUNCHES

I didn't think I would get this posted as I have been without an internet connection since the early hours of Saturday morning, I spent some time on the phone with the provider testing numerous connections, plugs etc, tonight I received a phone message to say it was a problem their end and they were going to reset everything but would take 48 hrs, fortunately I kept an eye on the lights on my router and noticed that it changed to solid green instead of flashing amber.

I will be visiting all my lovely friends that have left comments for me on my previous post, they are truly wonderful and so uplifting, I thank you with all my heart.

Now onto my DT card

I have used two images from sheet 409, the one of the front of my card I coloured with promarkers the image on the inside is precoloured.

I cut out the front image leaving a fine white border which I think looks so effective.

I have gone for a pink and purple colour theme, the die I have used are a mixture of Cheery Lynn and Memory Box, I have also added a pink organza ribbon, an organza flower also some MS punched butterflies and lots of pink pearls.

I decided to have a go at making a card gift holder for this I have used a 12x12 embossed card stock, for demo purposes I have used the Daisy and Friends CD Rom and a gift card on the inside. The butterflies on the inside are punched using a SU punch.
