BALLOONS OF LOVE

Hi all, I didn't think that I would get here as Google/Blogger is on a major go slow, but I made it and I have a card that I would like to share with you and enter into some challenges:
The theme of my card is LOVE I have used an image from CHING-CHOU KUIK called BUNCH OF LOVE
I have coloured her with both Graph It Markers and Copics, the papers are from LOTV, I used faux stitching around the balloons and image, I added glitter for the balloon strings, I then added a red doily heart, sentiment and some pearl liquid.
I am not very adventurous with my crafting as I used to be, I am getting the urge to try something a little different now and again and on this card I have actually done some paper tearing for the border across the centre.
I have used a 7 x 7 black card base the papers have all been mounted onto red cardstock, the image I mounted on both black and red cardstock.
I apologise for the picture quality but I could not get the right lighting on this occasion.

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges:
I I would like to send my heartfelt thanks to all my followers and to everyone who is so kind to leave me such wonderful comments, I would also like to welcome all my new followers, thank you
See you a little later, I have my mum staying with me at the moment so will be a little busy
hugs

ROSE IN STORM

Hi all, tonight I have a card to share with you that I finished yesterday I have used a new (to me) image from Ching-Chou Kuik she is called Rose in Storm which I thought was highly appropriate considering the awful weather we are having and apparently due to have in the coming days.
I have gone for a rather dramatic colour combo of black and yellow, I coloured the image with Graph It Markers and Copics for the skin tones.  The black cardstock I embossed with a rose embossing folder, I used my Tonic die for the trellis then added some Cosmic Black Pearl PVA for the pearls, finally I added a new Kanban floral sentiment that I got in the post yesterday and some roses and white organza bow.

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges:
Many thanks for visiting me and the lovely comments that you leave.

A LITTLE SASSY AND A BIG THANK YOU

Hi all, before I tell you about my card I wanted to give you all a big hug for the wonderful, heartfelt comments that I received on my previous post, I really didn't expect the response I got but it certainly put my mind at rest, your friendship is very precious to me and I am so proud to have you as friends so
THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH
I never gave a thought to people closing down blogs or blogs being deleted as they were no longer used but it makes sense that a New Year brings a new start for so many of us.  I have decided not to worry too much about it anymore and focus on my card making and you, that is what is important.

Today my card features a brand new image (to me) she is from the Sassy Cheryl range of digi images, I have seen these used by ANNIE who I think most of us know, I do get a lot of inspiration from so many of you and Annie is one of those people.
I treated myself to a couple of these fab little girls and coloured this one up with Graph It markers and Copics, she is called 'not so small'
I used my corner rounder punch on both the image and the pink card stock that she has been mounted onto.  The papers are Papermania Capsule collection, I also added some of my new little flowers with gems in the centre, I punched a couple of butterflies and added a double organza bow and sentiment.

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges:
Many thanks for visiting I will see you later.

A LITTLE SAD BUT FOREVER HOPEFUL

Hi all, I am a little sad today to find that I have lost not one but 2 treasured followers/supporters of my blog, I hope that I have not offended anyone, I know my work is not outstanding but each and every project is made with love and hopefully a little inspiration.
Sometimes I wonder if some find my comments insincere or OTT but I can assure everyone that they come from the heart as I tend to write what I feel for each creation I see.
I so appreciate every comment that is left for me on my postings I get a thrill when I read them, it gives me the will to go on creating and showing my latest makes, I do understand that sometimes life is difficult and it is not always possible to stop and take time out to leave a comment believe me I feel like that on some days when my depression is at it's worse, but to me you are all gems.
Well as my regular followers know it is very rare that I say more than a few words about anything really, I tend to focus on my post than on me, lol.

Anyhow onto my card for today, I have actually used my all time favorite AURORA WINGS image LITTLE ELF KIA
I always keep several of her printed ready to colour and I just felt the need to do just that, I have used Graph It Markers and Copics for the skin tones, the papers are Papermania Capsule collection, I have used mainly black, pink and a touch of green, I used my SU corner punch and double layered them I added some Cosmic Shimmer PVA Antique Green PVA for the pearls, I also added a couple of resin roses and sentiment
I have taken several photos as different angles so, hopefully, you can see the colouring effects

the top 2 pictures were edited with the 'sharpen' effect but on this occasion I think it has washed the colour out, it was too late for me to change them but the one below gives the softer look of Kia.

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges:
That is it from me today but I will be doing the rounds later so see you then.

A POT OF LOVE

Today I have a card to share with you using an image that I just purchased from Tiddly Inks, this little lady is called Wryn - Grow a Little Love.
I am in love with these little beauties and just put an order in for some more of them but in clear stamp form, this one is a digi.
I coloured the image with Graph It Markers rounded the edges with my punch then mounted onto some textured card, I found some papers in my bit box and the first one I came to was the base paper with the hearts on which was perfect, haven't got a clue of the name, I added some pink organza ribbon and double bow.  One of my New Year's resolutions was not to buy anymore craft stuff........I broke it the first day by ordering some craft goodies from Wild Orchid they came yesterday and I have used some of the flowers with gem centre on this card.
I have been playing with my new camera and took pictures of the card both lying down and standing, the above is standing the one below is lying down.

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges:

Many thanks for visiting my blog hope you like what you see, please come back soon.

SNOWFLAKES FALLING SOFTLY

Hi all, I expect everyone is busy getting all their Christmas jobs done, I have as well, but I did take time out to create this card, I felt the need to make something that I could share with you and to enter into some challenges, this is my penultimate, posting before the big day.
While digging through my stamp collection I found this little girl I have had her for quite a few years now, again it is one of the first rubber stamps that I bought from Funky Kits.
I stamped her with Memento Black Tuxedo ink and coloured her with Graph It Markers/Copics, I also added some glitter and Viva Decor.
The papers are Bearly Mine and all have been mounted onto black cardstock, I used the same cardstock for the punched snowflakes.
I stamped a sentiment, added some more Viva Decor to the centre of the snowflakes and Cosmic Shimmer Antique Pink PVA glue for the pearls around the card.

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges:
I will be visiting you later to see but I would like to thank everyone for visiting my blog and leaving me a comment, I appreciate it so much.

I added liquid pearls to the centres of the snowflakes and onto the holly branches.

While going through my stamps I found a duplicate of a SUGAR NELLIE GORJUSS FOXY stamp the picture is below, it is unused I am sure I am not the only person to find a duplicate of stamps or any other craft item, lol.
I decided that I would give this stamp to one of the people who leave me a comment, must be a follower, you do not have to put a picture into you sidebar as this is not a candy item as such, but when you leave a comment just say if you would like to receive it, some I know will already have it.  I will post it abroad so any of my followers can be put into a random draw,
Many thanks for visiting my blog I will see you all later.

CHRISTMAS GIFT SET

Today I have a little Christmas gift set to share with you and enter into some challenges.
I made a card and gift box for my son's girlfriend, I ordered her a gift but it did not come boxed so I thought it would be a good idea to make one.
For my card I have used one of my many LOTV stamps I used Momento Tuxedo ink and coloured with Graph It Markers, I used Bronze coloured stickles for the fur bits on the hat.  I used one of my Spellbinder dies for the frame and LOTV paper.
For the box I used black card stock for the base and wrap and gold mirri card for the top.
I did all the measuring of the box with my Hougie board, I cut a separate piece of gold mirri card to emboss for the top, I decided to make a wrap for the box in black cardstock, I used a circle scalloped punch and a circle Spellbinders die to join the ends and for a base to place the gold coloured Poinsettia and some leaves, I also added some little tags punched with my Fiskars tag punch.
The pictures below show different angles and looks of both card and box

I would like to enter my Christmas Gift Set into the following challenges.
Many thanks for visiting my blog I hope that you like my gift set please feel free to come back soon.

I would like to share with you a picture of my mum's dad, my grandfather, he served in France during the 1914-1918 war, he was wounded but did survive, my mum and her twin sister were born in November 1919
Every time I look at this picture I am amazed at the likeness to my brothers I can see each of them, all 5, looking back at me.

The picture below is of my dad he served the duration of WW11 in Burma, he brought home the Burma Star and many awful memories, he rarely ever mentioned his time in the war, mum did tell us that dad's best friend died in his arms, my dad was one of the lucky ones and returned home to mum only to be taken from us so unexpectedly at the young age of 57.

Many thanks for visiting.
