a. I have put on far to much weight since my retirement

Double Delights with Chi Chi

Today I have two DT cards to show using Digi Sets available from Chi Chi Memories.

The first card is using my favourite image, Little Ted, I have used the PNG format and inserted my own sentiment, although in the set there are several that can be used, this is the Thinking of You/Sympathy Set.

I have used Basic Grey Wisteria papers, my circle cutter and punches for the flowers and butterflies.  I coloured Little Ted with Copics.

My second card is showing off the new set that has just been launched called 'The Costume Set' perfect for any occasion including Thanksgiving and Halloween.

The bp is Bearlymine, I have added some of my Bee ribbon, butterflies and a Die Cut sentiment as well as inserting my own using my graphics programme.  The full set is shown below and available to purchase as a whole set for just $5.50 or individually.

I have used one of my new rubber stamps that I bought from Bunny Zoe's and is from the Bildmalarna range this one is called Jossa-hat.  As normal once I saw these beauties I just had to have one or maybe two lol. I have coloured her with Copics the papers are Basic Grey I added some gold pearls and gems, the flowers I made myself following a tutorial that I saw the other day.  Unfortunately I forgot to copy the link but I am pretty sure it was a Digital Delights Tutorial and so easy.  I love them and will be making lots more for my projects. The base card is a 6x6 square scallop I have had these for some time and decided at last to use them.

SEW MANY CHALLENGES #21

Morning all a new challenge starts today at Sew Many Challenges and this week we would love to see a Christmas Themed Card/Project.

Her is my DT card

I decided to do a round easel card and chose a large 8"x8" white base card as I knew I wanted to display quite a few Poinsettia's to go with Eris in Cocoa image, available from Sew Many Cards.

I used the PNG format and in my graphics programme added the sentiment, I coloured the image with Copics, then added some wired edged dotty ribbon around the circle, the base papers are Bearlymine the Poinsettia's are from Fred She Said, I cut them out and added bronze stickles to their centres.  If you would like to see more inspiration then please have a look at the other DT work they create such beauties.

Digital Tuesday Challenge #72 DT Card

Hi folks we have a new challenge today at Digital Tuesday and Shelley has chosen the theme

'Bits and Pieces'.

We want to see you use them scraps that we all have piling up on or around on craft area.

Here is my DT card using just a wee portion of my scrap papers.

The papers are a mish mash so not sure whose they are except the strip which is some of Crafty Ann's marble effect papers.

While on my journey of blog visiting I saw several cards using Heather Ellis digital images of Pure Innocence I was so impressed and inspired I just had to treat myself to a couple and this is one of the ones I chose.  I coloured her with Copics, I used my circle cutter then added some little punched flowers around half the circle I added bronze stickles to their centres.

Something Special Times Two

The first something special is happening over at Paperworks Co Blog there is a special Summer Challenge with an animal theme it is running from 15th to 18th August.  The something special is that the challenge comes in four parts, one theme for each day, and is open to teams of four.  That means one person from the team as their own project to do then the PWCO DT choose the best of each project to be shown on the blog for people to vote for.  The winning team will get an amazing prize.  If I have not explained it so you can understand please pop over and have a look.

I am in the Chi Chi Memories Team and I was given the sketch below to work with and is the challenge for 15th August.   

Here is my card that I created.  The shape I managed to do myself with a bit of perseverance a few hot flushes and biting of the lips lol.  I wanted something a bit softer in colour so chose this colour theme.  I have used an image from the fabulous new set of digi images from Chi Chi Memories this one is called Always by Your Side and features Freddie the Elephant and Little Ted.  I have added some flowers, ribbon and sentiment I actually flipped the sketch to fit the image.

SOMETHING SPECIAL NO: 2

Today there is a new Animal Challenge starting at 

Stamping Vacation the theme is 'Animals with Beaks'

This is my first DT card and I have used a wonderful happy image from Delicious Doodles.  I had my eye on this one for so long after seeing cards made by Teri, who is the owner of DD,  I was so inspired and fell in love with this little duo.

I have coloured them with promarkers and layered them three times for extra impact.  I used SU bp, card candy and a Die Cut Heart which I found while sorting through my stash.  I added some wired edged ribbon and decided to make a couple of flowers with the left overs I used brads for the centres, I also added some card candy, the little tag I got recently in the sale from Craftwork Cards.

If you have never visited Stamping Vacation then I can recommend this challenge blog as it is so different from any other that I have found.

There is a new challenge each day and you have a month to complete your project, the challenges are listed in date order in the left hand sidebar and you will see the closing dates, there is so much choice and no pressure you also get entered into the monthly $25 draw.
