WHIMSY STAMPS OCTOBER BLOG HOP

Hi all today is Whimsy Stamps Digital October Blog Hop and have we got some great stuff to show you, new images from both Meljen Designs and Chrissy Armstrong all available from Whimsy Stamps HERE.

The theme we are working to is Halloween/Fall inspired

and here are my projects.

The first one I am showing is a new image from Chrissy and is an Autumnal Carousel Horse.  I have coloured this beauty with Sakura pens both Gelly Roll and Glitter.

I decided to make a large Shadow Box using 2 A4 card stock and once folded will fit nicely into a C5 envelope.

I have used bronze mirror card inside and then mounted the image, I have added some flowers, gems and ribbon, the front of the card stock I have stamped a SU flower image.

 

The next projects are using the new Meljen Design images the first one is the Little Witchy Rabbit, I have coloured this image with promarkers using colours purple and grey with some silver twinkles.  I laminated the image to make a bookmark and added a yellow/gold tassel.

I also decided to make another post it holder but in an easel type design this is the top of the holder, I have used cream pearlescent card scored with my Hougie board, I then added one of the many wonderful ticket sentiments, which I have laminated, designed by Ann Vento, I also added some coordinating card candy.

This is the post it holder open, I have used the image Witchy Cat also coloured with promarkers.

QKR Stampede-Harvest Blessings-DT Card

Hi all this is a DT card I have made using one of the images from QKR Stampede, I have used a digi image called Corn Stalks which I have coloured with Copics I used my graphics programme to add the chorus of 'Bringing In The Sheaves' which is one of my most favourite songs that we used to sing at The Salvation Army at Harvest Festival time.  I have mounted the image onto Bronze mirror card, I wanted the Autumnal look so used Basic Grey papers, I added a red button with Raffia threaded through I also created a little Corn Stalk of my own using raffia and adhered it with silicone glue, I then added some card candy.

Stamping Vacation Animal Applause Challenge

Hi it is a busy day for my blog today, I have a few DT projects coming up for you to view, they are scheduled so I do hope that blogger is working well.  I have been working quietly behind the scenes, so to speak, creating my DT work. this is the first one that I am showing today which is for this months 

Animal Applause Challenge at Stamping Vacation 

the requirement is to use an image of an animal that is not soft and has no fur.

I have always been a lover of animals but I did have to think about this one and had to go through my very large stamp collection to see what I had and I found this little fellow, well not so little in real life and he is definitely not soft or hairy so I thought he fitted the bill perfectly.

 

I decided on a black and white theme, the papers are Papermania, I added some card candy, black lace and sentiment as well as the image which I stamped with Momento Black Tuxedo ink, I also used my 'Sand' stamp for the around the edge effect.

After I made this card I then started thinking of animals that fall into this category like, Alligators, Crocodiles, Lizards, Snakes and the list goes on, typical that the old grey cells didn't work till after the event lol.

Aud Sentiments #13 - DT Card

Hi today we have a new challenge for you at AUD SENTIMENTS and the sentiment we would like you to use is anything to do with a NEW BABY.

Here is my DT project.

 

I actually got one of my Glitter Girl Boards out to complete the card for my project I used pale green pearlescent card and for the baby grow I used K&Co dp, the bottle and rattle are from Revi Devi coloured with Copics cut out then adhered with silicone glue for a 3d effect, I also added some roses, bow and liquid pearls. The little bookmark I used one of my H&S stamps then paper pieced her with the same paper as the main card, her hair and face have been coloured with Copics, I distressed the edges with chalks and added the stamped Baby sentiment.

Stamping Vacation No No Challenge

Hi all we have a new No No Challenge for you at Stamping Vacation and this month we do not want you to use any stamp beginning with 'S' on your card/project.

I have made a Christmas card using a Penny Black Slapstick image coloured with promarkers, the papers are Papermania, taglets, pearls, ribbon, flowers, card candy and greeting.

Hi all I have been trying to finish this card for several days and finally managed it today I am going to enter this one into the following challenges which are as follows:

I was fortunate enough to purchase from E-Bay a Limited Edition H&S Stamp set and finally chose to use one of the images. I coloured him with a mixture of Copics and promarkers, I used Earth coloured chalks to distress around the image then mounted him onto orange card.

I used a mixture of papers and distressed the edges with my Tim Holtz tool then highlighted with green Versamagic ink.

I added some green web type ribbon topped with green gingham, I added a bow, a button with brown grosgrain ribbon, the sentiment is also one of my new sets they are the greetings stamp set from Bunny Zoe's and is from the Whimsy range created by Ann Vento.

I also wanted to thank each and everyone of you, my friends, for leaving me such wonderful messages to my post dated 8th October.  I was overwhelmed by your kindness, caring and support.

I spent a long time just reading them again and again and again I thought that if I could imprint your words into my mind it would give me hope for my future in the land of blog.

I will take each day as it comes and hope and pray that it will work out for the best I just want to tell you that I am so lucky to have such wonderful people as my friends.

Stamping Vacation DT Card-Embellish It

Hi today we have a new 'Embellish It' challenge at Stamping Vacation for you to try and this one you may find a little more challenging I know I did. We want to see you use 'Brackets' on your card/project. I am afraid I struggled with this one I checked through all my stash and had nothing in any shape or form of a bracket so I used them with the wording.

I have used a Stamping Dragon image of the Vintage lady, I have kept this quite clean and simple, I coloured the image with promarkers then mounted her and the words onto bronze mirror card, the paper is Basic Grey, I added a couple of taglets in a coordinating colour then added some gold gems.

The cards/projects for the last 'Leaf' embellish it challenge were such a wonder to see, I really hope you will join us in this challenge I would be very interested to see what you create.
