One Stop Crafts Challenge #106

Hi all to day we have a new challenge for you to try at 

One Stop Craft Challenge

Our theme this week is 'POP UPS'

Here is my DT card using a Poinsettia image from The Digi Doodle Shop

It's funny because when I first started crafting I used to make this type of 'pop up' all the time, now there are all types of 'pop up' tutorials around but this is the version I wanted to do.

I used 6x6 white card, the papers are Bearlymine, I used quite a lot of mirror card both as a mount for the paper, for the inside centre, the border and oval.  The green border I also punched with an EK Success border punch then attached lace and red ric rac, the oval green Nestie I embossed with a 'snow fall' folder.  The image I coloured with promarkers then stamped a sentiment which is also mounted onto red mirror card, finally I used some digi Holly which I enlarged, coloured then cut and mounted around the inner circle. 

This is a picture of the inside I had to take it at this angle or you would have seen my reflection and I didn't want to put anyone off looking at my work, lol.

Stamping Vacation - No No Challenge

Hi all today we have a new NO-NO challenge for you to try at Stamping Vacation and this month we would like to see Non Traditional Fall Colours.

Here is my DT card which I hope will give you a little inspiration.

I have used one of the newer Meljen images available from Whimsy Stamps and decided on the colours of pink, raspberry and grey.

The bp is Papermania Capsule Collection which I recently bought from Staples of all places, the base card and ribbon and from SU, I punched the flowers from a retro punch and added pearls as their centres.  I punched the butterfly from my Tonic punch from the same card and paper, the sentiment is Marks Finest.

The picture below shows the card at a different angle. I cut the wreath out and used silicone glue to raise it. I added a small butterfly in the centre and a gem for its body

Shades of Red at Stamping Vacation

Hi this is my third posting for today so please do scroll down for my first two.

We have a new Monochromatic Challenge for you at Stamping Vacation and this month we want to see Shades of Red. 

For my DT card I have used this beautiful image that is available form Whimsy Stamps, I have used her before and will again for sure. I have coloured her with promarkers then added Sakura clear glitter to her wings

The papers are Papermania, the ribbon is from a Christmas Cake a few years ago from which I saved all the decorations, I knew they would come in handy one day, lol.  I have distressed all the edges of the papers, punched out a 3" circle from Red Mirror card to mount the image on then added some Cosmic Silver Twinkles, I used some of the gold rippled card to mount my Cuddly Buddly stamped greeting.

It's Meljen Day

Hi all today is a new release day for Meljen Images that are now available at Whimsy Stamps

Here are just two of the new images that I have been playing with.The first one is Apple Pie and I have made a small holder for a gift token.

I have coloured this delicious image with promarkers and mounted onto both cream and red mirror card, I used an EK Success punch for the bottom of the card and when closed the red mirror card inside makes a lovely border.  I found a digi Holly stamp resized, printed, cut out and placed on a red mirror card circle with silicone glue, finally I added a few bling gems.

Below is a picture of the inside, which I adhered a circle showing the greeting and flourish stamps from Marks Finest, the monthly sponsor at Stamping Vacation.

The next image I have used is the adorable little Acorn Mouse this one I coloured with Copics.

I used a green card base the papers are K&Co, I added brown felt ribbon, flowers and a gingham bow. 

 This next card is one I have made for my mum to give to her twin sister, both my mum and aunt will be 91 yrs young in a few days.

I used and 8x8 white card base then mounted two different coloured card, the image is from Stamping Bazaar coloured with Copics. I used a Bearlymine insert then with my graphics programme I inserted the PNG format image and text at the top, I added a purple and pink ribbon.

I am slowly getting back into the swing of things and have had such pleasure visiting, I know it will take awhile but I will be coming to see your beautiful creations so please bear with me.

Here is my card

I have used a brown base card the bp is Bearlymine, I used my graphics programme to insert the sentiment and frame, the frame is now available from Whimsy Stamps I coloured it with Copics.

The butterfly is also from Whimsy Stamps and is called the Rose Butterfly again I coloured with Copics.  I added some flowers gems and used pearl sprays for the antennas.

Stamping Vacation - Embellish It Challenge

Hi all today we have a new Embellish It Challenge at Stamping Vacation and this month we want to see Corner Adornments on your projects.

Here is my DT Card

I have used Silver Corner Stickers for my adornments I did colour them with red ink but unfortunately it doesn't show up as well as I had hoped.

The image is from QKR Stampede the Rag Doll Angel, I have coloured her with Copics.  The bp is Papermania, the silver embossed card is from my stash that I have had for some years, I added a flower punched from my Tonic punch and double mounted with silicone glue, I added some Cosmic Silver Twinkles, the red strips have been punched from my SU Word Punch.

Doggy Christmas

Hi al this is a card I have made for a dog lover friend for Christmas I have found some challenges to enter this one into which are as follows:

I have used an image that is available from Whimsy Stamps and is one by Chrissy, I love this little fella, I coloured him with promarkers.  The bp is Papermania I have used two sizes of white doily's distressed with red Versamagic ink, I found from my stash some crimped gold card and a green sticker greeting.  I added some flowers and gold tear drop gems.

Here is my card

I have used a scalloped 6x6 white card base the bp is Bearlymine and has been distressed around the edges, I added a white doily, some embossed bp and the image is one that I have had for yonks but never used I think it is from Fred She Said but I found it in an old folder so not certain.

I used the PNG file and added the sentiment which came with it I coloured with promarkers and added some diamond Stickles.

The flowers have been punched using the SU Boho Blossom punch I used the same paper as on the card then added gold liquid pearls for their centres.

I do hope you will join us this week because if you are like me you will have tons of craft stuff that you purchased but put it away and never used, lol.

I have started my visits to you all but it is a slow process, so far I have been really enjoying seeing the beautiful creations, I will be certainly be seeing you soon.
