Hi all, today there is a new challenge at

THE PAPER SHELTER

the theme is

SOMEONE SPECIAL

and here is my GDT card using the beautiful image from 'the twenties'

I coloured her with promarkers then cut her out I adhered her to the card with silicone glue, the papers are from LOTV I bought 3 pads while watching the show on Create and Craft, I have used my Bigz butterfly, clock and label dies, the hearts are from Memory Box the flower and leaves are from Tattered Lace I also used my butterfly tonic punch.

I added Cosmic Shimmer pink pva glue, organza ribbon gems, pin and computer generated sentiment

This is the card that my son will be giving his Nan on Saturday for her 94th birthday.

this second picture has been taken from a different angle so you may see more of the shine on the gold mirri card.

I used my Big Shot for the Bigz Dies but I managed to save some money and have treated myself to the new X Cut die cut machine so now I can use all my dies using one machine, my Big Shot and Grand Calibur have been packed away in the attic.....just in case.

FROSTY THE SNOWMAN

This week I have been working on this card for the Christmas Card Challenge, each day I did a little bit more.  The theme for this challenge was chosen by ASHA the theme being your favourite Christmas song/carol, this stamp came to mind immediately, my beloved Tilda with the snowman.

I have also followed the theme of the previous challenge that was set by Clare, use pastel colours with a circle somewhere on your card.

I coloured the image with pastel flexmarkers, I used my new EK Success circle cutter, it is a brilliant tool, the paper is from a 12 x 12 pack and came with some alpha letters, I used a Cuddly Buddly sentiment stamp, Tonic snowflake punch and a white organza bow.

Many thanks to everyone who has left me such lovely comments, I have been on visiting rounds but I still have a way to go, so please bear with me.

I have been doing my mums garden for the last few weeks which has taken up so much of my time, as my mum is 94 and my brother is awaiting a hip operation they are not able to get around, the garden was a real mess and it upset my mum who has always loved her garden, I have now finished the back and just started on the front both mum and bro are really pleased.

I was asked by a relative to make a birthday card this is what I came up with.

I used a House Mouse rubber stamp that I bought from Joanna Sheen it came with some more images and the sentiments, I coloured the image with promarkers.  I used a trellis effect embossing folder that I also bought from the Joanna Sheen online shop, I have used yellow, cream and red card that I have used a border punch on, I added green gingham ribbon and bow then added some butterflies and Viva Decor Gold pearl drops.

CHARMING IN PINK

Hi all, yesterday we had rain and lots of it it was heaven, lol, the grass and flowers really did need that drink of nectar as they were all dying, the grass is mostly brown with big cracks in the earth, it is also cooler thankfully.

I decided to make another Christmas card this time using one of the images that I won at Gem of a Challenge this is 'Jodie With Gift'.  

I have coloured her with promarkers as this is an 8 x 8 card, when I printed the image off it was much larger than I had thought it was, my fault not the image, I had changed the settings on MCS from cms to inches, silly me, I mounted the image onto pink cardstock, the base card is a sort of holographic star card, the squares of paper are some more that I found from years back, I added some pink angel hair effect ribbon topped with thin satin silver ribbon, bow and snowflake charm, I added some Debbie Moore glitter to the image in her hair and cheeks as well as the pom poms on her scarf and the ribbon on her gift, the sentiment is from Hunkydory finally I punched some snowflakes.

DRESS UP MARCI

Hi all, I can't believe that I am actually posting for the second time today, if you would like to see my OLLDT card please scroll down.

I have been collecting some new rubber stamps over the last few months from the La La Land range, I fell in love with them some time ago and at first bought a couple of the digi images but I saved up and managed to get some new rubber ones from Bunny Zoe's.

For my card I chose to use 'Dress Up Marci' I got out my promarkers/flexmarkers and coloured her up in a Purple and Lemon colour combo, I then cut her out and mounted her to the card base with silicone glue.  I have used Hunkydory card stock for the base card, the centre panel of card I mounted onto purple cardstock  I added an extra bow to the bottom of the page, added a sentiment and flower gems, I have used Viva Decor for their centres. With the remainder of the card I also decorated the inside.

i have used one of my Sarah Kaye stamps that I have had for some time but never used, I inked the stamp with Momento Black Tuxedo ink then coloured with Promarkers, I distressed the edges with TH Vintage Photo ink, I then mounted the image onto Kraft card and cream card, the papers are SU, I have added some ribbon, flower pearls, flowers, hearts and a stamped sentiment, the pearls are Viva Decor.

IN THE PINK X 2

Hi all, well we are back in winter wonderland today, it snowed all night and it has just started snowing again now, fortunately it seems to be still melting in places so I do hope that it is not going to last, although Jess is still enjoying herself.

I have two cards to today that I am entering into challenges, the first one is a Totally Gorguss stamp that I bought with my winning vouchers, she is based on Alice in Wonderland, I have coloured her with promarkers/Fleximarkers, I used two different grey's for her hair and I am really pleased with it.  The papers are Back To Basics all have been mounted onto black card, I have added three little roses, flower pearl and a watch embellishment with bow.  I have followed the sketch at Sunday Sketch and stamp but have kept it very simple.

A Little Bit Blue x 2

Hi all, I hope that you are all well, it has started to snow again here in Gloucester but at the moment it is the very fine stuff, it is also very icy.

I actually had some 'me' time yesterday and went through my stamp hoard, I also got very inky, with stamping, cutting out, colouring with Copics, promarkers and Debbie Moore's Vintage Shimmer Paints, it was heaven.

My first card is featuring a stamp that I have had for a few years but it has never been inked she is from The Greeting Farm and called Magdalene, I stamped her twice then cut her out, I have coloured her with a mixture of both Copics and Promarkers/Fleximarkers.  The flower stamps are from Elusive Images which I have had for several years, I used Black Tuxedo Momento ink, cut them out and coloured them with promarkers/Fleximarkers, I added some yellow Viva Decor to the centre.  The base card is a white scalloped 6x6, I then used my 6x6 grand spots embossing folder cut it out to fit the card size then mounted it onto Kraft card, the central circle is a spellbinder die I have used linen textured card stock, finally I added a ribbon, bow and butterfly.

I used my Waltzing Mouse stamps for the background and side panels, also a Spellbinders rectangle die for mounting the image onto, finally I added some flowers and lots of silver glitter.

FIRST CARD OF 2013

Happy New Year to all my blogging friends old and new.

I hope that you all enjoyed the holiday festivities and received some wonderful presents.

I wanted to make a card 'just because' and followed my mojo's lead this is what I came up with.

I was a very lucky lady to receive a Christmas card from Lorraine with this little stamp inside she is called

Molly Mittens Sitting from Tickled Pink Stamps, I love her.

For my card I have used a scalloped white 6x6 card base, I used a embossing folder on some white card it is a flower design 6x6 folder.

I used my Cheery Lynn die cut frame on some turquoise pearlescent card, I also used memory box Chloe and Gentle Leaf dies, i coloured the stamp with promarkers.  I have added some roses, sentiment, butterflies and a sliver satin bow.

Hi all, I am not doing too well at the moment with the timing of my DT cards but this morning I am somewhat mashed up in my head so please excuse me if this post sounds a bit weird, I have been given some new tablets which have sent me into another orbit and as yet I have not landed, anyway onto my post for today.

Here is my DT card using this wonderful image. The image is coloured with promarkers, I have used Kanban card stock for the outside of the shadow box the gold star paper is also Kanban.  I used a Spellbinder label to cut out the aperture on the front of the card, I used a SU heart punch for the hearts on the inside of the box card, I actually cut the whole image out and placed inside to give an added 3d look, the tree, snowflakes and flowers have all been made using die cuts and punches, I added red gems and a Kanban sentiment.

I have used promarkers to colour the image then mounted her onto blue card stock, I have used a mixture of both Paper Shelter and Bearly Mine papers, I have used my EK Success Flower Border punch, MS Butterfly Punch and two different sizes of flower punches, I dded a Dufex sentiment and pearls to the centre flower, finally I used silver glitter for her wings.

I hope to see you later but it has not been a good day so far and I have a late appointment to see the doctor tonight.

I am hoping to be able to do some commenting later, until then have a lovely evening.

Here is my DT card

I have used papers from the CHRISTMAS DREAMS SET I have mounted them onto SU Burgundy card stock.  My image is the cute Morehead stamp called Candlelight, I think you will be seeing a lot of this young man on my cards for Christmas.

I have coloured him with promarkers and added glitter to the berries in his hat, the bow and candle.  I used double sided tape for the glitter in the corner, I used a Kanban sentiment and SU burgundy polka dot ribbon.

For my card I have used a new stamp called 'CANDLELIGHT' from Morehead.  I have coloured him with promarkers, I have used black and sliver starburst holographic card, I have mounted the image and stamped sentiment onto silver textured card stock,  I have also used the Holly and star stamps from the same set as the image and used glitter on all the berries, stars and candle.

Birthday Girl

Hi all this is a card I have made to enter into the Creative Card Crew Challenge ' Happy Birthday'.  I have used the 'Birthday Girl Set' from Chi Chi Memories to make a crossover card.  

The set comes with several images that are just perfect to make the always needed birthday card.  I have used the girl and balloons with my graphics programme I have put the balloons to look as if she is carrying them then added the text.  On the front of the card I added the text from the same set 'Sweet' and double layered with foam pads.  The papers are SU (I think) coloured with Promarkers added a ribbon, flower a button for it's centre and some butterflies I hope you like it hugs to all.

C.R.A.F.T.Challenge

Hi all this is my entry to the C.R.A.F.T. Challenge No 1 the theme being 'New Beginnings'.  I decided on a wedding card as one of my nephews is getting married this summer albeit in Cyprus.  I have used a Hangler and Stangler image that I received in a RAK and I coloured them with my promarkers.  Now the backing paper is actually a Bearlymine insert with I resized in my graphics programme so that I wouldn't lose all the lovely detail but I cut out the white middle and put the image inside so it makes it look like an album or mini scrapbook page....wow that was a little bit of inspiration from me....I mounted it onto gold mirror card and added some flowers a dangly heart (thank you Lora) and stamped a sentiment.  Hope you like it.

Frog under a Leaf

Hi all well what a day I am gradually drifting down off my cloud but still feel on a high after all the wonderful things that have happened to me today.  I have actually managed to make a card tonight although I didn't think I would be able to settle down lol.

This is a free image that I got from Doodle Palace after becoming a follower and visiting their Digi Store which is fabby.  Once you have done that they will e-mail you, for free, the stamp of your choice from the selection available so you can make a card then they visit your blog and you get stamped as 'cute', nice one hey.  

All the images were great and it was difficult to choose but I opted for the frog with a leaf and he looks not only cute but happy which depicts how I feel at the moment.  I have coloured him with promarkers and mounted him on one of my Funky Fairy mats I used some papermania backing paper and added some flora doodles and a sentiment hope you like it.  Hugs to you all.

Three Clovers Designs Challenge

Hi all this is my very first entry to the Three Clovers Design Challenge where you are required to use any craft papers that you have had for more than a year. The papers I have used I have had for about 5 years and hardly used them I found them by chance while I was spring cleaning last week. Now I have found them I will use them quite a lot but it was only a small pad so it won't take long to finish them. I have used one of my new Tildas with the puppy the flower has been cut using my cricut I have added some gems and fluffy ribbon.

House Mouse Challenge 16th March

This is my third challenge card in 2 days so my mojo is making up for lost time lol. This entry is for this weeks House Mouse Challenge but I was in two minds whether to post it. I have seen some stunning cards for this challenge and for some reason mine just doesn't seem to reach the same standard. This is one of my new stamps and I really wanted to use it I just love these cuties. The theme is based on the sketch which I have coloured with promarkers/copics. I have used my cuttlebug swiss dots folder for the circle and added a couple of flowers that I cut using my cricut I then added some liquid pearls to the petals.
