My Lovely Supporters

2 Jul 2011

Hi all today I have a card that I would like to enter the following challenges:
For my card I have used some papers that I have had in my stash for a long time they are 12x12 but cannot remember the name.  I have used one of my H&S stamps that I have had for well over a year and thought it was about time I inked her up.
The first thing I did was to distress the edges of the base card with TH Vintage Photo ink, the papers have all be mounted onto gold mirri card.  The frame I made using my SU scallop punch then distressed the edges with Vintage Photo ink.  I stamped the image several times so I could paper piece the dress and bows in her hair, I used the same papers as the rest of the card.  I coloured her with Copics then used silicone glue to 3d the image and frame.  I used a Marianne die cut and gold mirri card for the flourish, the flowers I made using Nestie Scallop small die cut, added some lace and gold liquid pearls.  I used a calender stamp from Whimsy stamps and put some gold metallic vintage mesh behind.
I hope that you like my card and enjoyed your visit.
Hugs to all.

Pixie Dust Studio 'BE PROUD'

Hi all today I have some good and some sad news for you.  The good news is that there is a new challenge for you at Pixie Dust Studio the theme is BE PROUD the sad news is that this is my last GDT project as a June Pixie.  I have really enjoyed working with the wonderful Pixie images and DT, I was given a lovely welcome and made to feel right at home among the regular Pixie girls, so thank you ladies.
I have used a Pixie Dust Studio image called 'Uncle Sam' I coloured him with Copics and decided to make a tag, I distressed the edges of the tag with TH inks drew the frame with black liner ink then used my crop a dile to punch the hole and inserted a blue eyelet for the strands of ribbon.
My next card is showing one of the new 'Steampunk' images, I used Bearlymine backing papers, punched tabs, bronze stickles, stamped sentiment and finally the image which I coloured with promarkers
I wanted to thank you all for the lovely comments that you leave me, I love reading them all, they really help lift my spirit and confidence.
I will say bye for now, hugs to all.

Fairy Twinkle

Hi all today I have a card that I made which I hope will suit the following challenges:

For my card I have used an 8x8 white card base, the card stock is Lilac Linen Bazzill, the papers are from the Papermania Capsule Collection.  I followed a sketch but cannot find what challenge it belongs to but it worked well with my ideas.  The image is from the clear stamp Morehead range and is Fairy Twinkle, I coloured her with copics, I cut both the circles with my WRMK circle cutter.  I also stamped the stars coming from the wand, the little trio of flowers by Twinkles feet, her name and the stars around the circle these are all included in the stamp set.
I have added some cream lace, loads of gems, punched SU corners, embossed with the spots folder, large fairy charm, punched butterflies, stamped sentiment, taffeta bow and the flowers which are a scalloped Nestie die cut then shaped to create my 'Marigold' look flowers the fairy wings have been covered with Glossy Accents.
The above picture shows a closer look at Twinkle. The picture below shows a closer look at the flowers.
I hope you like my card, thank you for visiting.
Hugs to all.

Digital Tuesday #117 - Flower Power

Hi all today we have a new challenge for you at
and it was my turn to choose the theme and I decided to go for
FLOWER POWER
our sponsor this week is
Grab the blinkie
I have always been so impressed and inspired by the wonderful flower creations that I see when I am visiting you all which is one of the reasons I chose this theme.
Here is my DT card.
I have used a Karen's Doodles image that I bought a long time ago called Fairy Fun, I have coloured her with promarkers. The papers are Bearlymine from the Spring Delight range which can be found HERE
For a change I made an easel card and chose to use the colour combo of blue and yellow.
I drew the frame around the image after I saw one of the Stamp Addict girls doing it in a demo on Create & Craft I used one of the black fine liner pens, it really does look effective and I like it.
I used a stamped sentiment, ribbon, an EK Success border punch, punched swirls, butterflies and finally I made my own flowers from different sized Nestie dies. I think these ones here look like Marigolds.
This next picture shows the image a little closer, i have used Glossy Accents on her dress and the flowers in her hair.
These next pictures show the flowers much closer.

I would like to enter this into the following challenges:

I do hope that you will come join us this week at
and show us some of your Flower Power
Hugs to all see you later.
