Criss Cross for Allsorts

Hi all I am back again with yet another but much larger Criss Cross card and I thank you for the lovely and encouraging comments I have received on the first one I posted. I think I have given you a few ideas and Pinky mentioned that this type of card would be perfect for invitations which is exactly what my son said when I showed it to him. This time I made a 7 x 7 card and added a flower that I made following a tutorial from SCS and is a Dahlia. It looks a bit complicated but if you are used to teabag folding it is on the same lines as that technique. The papers and the birds that I have used you can get from Crafty Ann's site they are from her own line of digital images. I have stamped a leaf design on the papers in Versamark to give it a watermark effect I am entering this into this week's Allsorts Challenge the theme being Autumn Days, The sentiment on the inside insert reads:

The Kiss of the Sun for Pardon
The song of the birds for mirth
One is nearer God's Heart in a garden
Than anywhere else on earth

by Mrs Dorothy Frances Gurney

This is a sentiment rubber stamp that I got a while back from Stamp Galaxy. I thought I would also let you know that I posted my cards for the troops Task11 on the Lime Light Blog so if you would like to take a look, not just at mine but some of the other DT members, then please take the time to visit. Well that's it for the moment I hope you enjoy my creation hugs to all and see you later.

Criss Cross Card

Morning all this is not for a challenge but I decided to have ago at making something a bit different and yesterday I paid a visit to Splitcoast Stampers and tried out a couple of their tutorials. This is my first attempt at a Criss Cross card and I was rather pleased with the outcome. I have always loved this style so thought why not, I also created something else which I think you might like but I will post that later as it may fit into a challenge. I hope you like it please let me know what you think hugs to all.

Sugar Bowl Sketch

Hi all have been a bit low these last few days but did manage to make this card for the Sugar Bowl challenge based on a sketch. I was naughty and treated myself to a couple of new stamps from Funky Kits and the Sugar Nellie range, this one is called 'snowflake'. I decided to go for a blue Christmas theme which probably reflects my mood. I coloured this little darling with pro markers, the backing papers are Bearlymine I also added a few gold gems to the centre of some of the snowflakes and pearls to the flowers which are also Bearlymine. Hope you like it hugs to all and take care.

Two cards in one post

Hi all thought I would post these two challenge cards in one post tonight the first is for Stampin Sisters In Christ which is based on 'Fall/Autumn' and I have followed the Card Patterns sketch 33. I used two different sorts of leaf backing papers a Digital Image and some ribbon.

The second card is my entry for Anyone for Anya the theme being 'Funky Flowers' and Ooh-La-La ' Shades of Autumn'. I have used one of my Anya's coloured with pro markers, the backing papers are Bearlymine I have added some flowers and used my Pinflair multi hand punch to cut out some diddy little flowers which I have put on the two squares and I also added one to Anya's hair and a couple to her boots. Sorry this post is brief but I have been having a few problems today not feeling to chirpy so please forgive me but I still send hugs to all and take care.

Digital Tuesday DT Card-Falling Leaves

It's Tuesday and the start of a new challenge at Digital Tuesday the theme this week is 'Falling Leaves' and here is my DT card. I scoured my computer for hours looking for some paper that had leaves on, I knew I had some but could not remember for the life of me which folder it was in, finally I found it and here we are. I followed an ICS sketch for this card the middle band I punched with a MS border punch and added some of that string like ribbon, the image is a freebie and the sentiment is SU, I hope you will join us this week at DT and look forward to seeing your creations. Hugs to all and take care.

Cheers

Hi all just finished doing my visit to the blogs and wow I am bowled over by the creations that are being made, so much inspiration I love it. I managed to do this card for this week's challenge at Victoria Case which is based on a sketch. Once again I have used my favourite colours pink and brown and an image from VC which comes under 'Pin Ups' she is one of the skinny gorgeous girls but well endowed lol. I have coloured the image with pro markers, the circle I embossed with the Argyle Cuttlebug folder and just had to add a flower and a few gold gems, I hope you like it, hugs to all and take care.

Kaboodle Doodle Challenge-DT Cards

Good morning all hope you are well. Its challenge time again at Kaboodle Doodles and for this we are using a recipe, which is:
1 solid card stock
2 patterned papers
3 embellishments
a digital image.
I made two DT cards this time using images from this week's sponsor Softpencil as I found them just so cute. For these images I actually printed them out onto ink jet acetate the fairy I coloured with Sakura Gelly Roll pens and for both images I used gold leaf on the back, I hope you like them and for more inspiration please visit the other DT members. Simplicity in a Big Way!

Hi all hope you are well. This is a card that I made for the challenge at C.RA.F.T. the theme being to use the colours Pink and Brown which are of course my favourites. I also took the opportunity to use this card for my son James' 19th birthday which is tomorrow. I love Digi Stamps and all those beautiful stunning thin but voluptuous ladies, however, I also adore the bigger ladies and being one myself I think it is wonderful that the artists are now including the larger figured girls into there work. This particular image is from Victoria Case and can be found under the 'Pin Ups' category. I have coloured this beauty with pro markers the backing paper is Bearlymine and I have added some brown card embossed with the paisley cuttlebug folder on the end for a bit a texture. I added a circle sentiment which was a freebie and some SU ribbon. The card stock is an A4 size pre scored long ways I got these from Ideal Envelopes who no longer do the larger cards due to the cost so I am being very frugal with them lol.

My son is always so complimentary and refuses to say that I am on the big side yet he is just so skinny and keeps saying how much he wants to get fatter....isn't it always the way lol. Anyway I hope you like this card, sending you all hugs and see you soon.
