A NEW DAY DAWNING

Hi all, today I have a card and some wonderful news to share with you my dear friends and followers.

They say that life begins at 40 well it didn't for me but I can say that it has begun at 60.  As you may know it was my 60th birthday last week and today I picked up my new car, well it is new to me, very low mileage only 24k, I have also won first prize in the Craft Catz Weekly Challenge I am thrilled to bits, thirdly my son is getting me my surprise 60th birthday present today, I haven't got a clue what it is but I know it will be something nice.  Finally I have become a new Creative Team Member at Fitztown Challenge the card below is what won me first prize and the image is FAE4 from the Fitztown Store, link in my side bar, I am feeling so proud and so blessed that all these wonderful things are happening to me, I think I will have to pinch myself to make sure that I am not dreaming, lol.

My card share for today is a card for Christmas featuring a Sherri Baldy Bestie Image No: 0282, I have coloured her with Graph It Markers and gone for a vintage sepia style.

I have used a 7 x 7 black card for the base the papers are LOTV, the circle I cut out with my EK Success circle cutter, I have added some cream and gold pearls, gold bow, black mirri card holly, Cosmic Shimmer Gold PVA glue, flower and stamped sentiment.

I have used papers from my stash and a 6 x 6 white scalloped card base, all papers have been mounted onto Kraft card, I also added some card candy in matching colours.

A TOUCH OF CLASS

Hi all, I hope you are all enjoying the weekend, it was a tad cooler here last night and for the first time in days I was able to turn the fan off but it still a little too warm for me, lol.  I know that sounds strange to all you sun worshipers but I really do not like it hot.

Before I tell you about my card I would like to THANK YOU all for visiting and leaving me such lovely comments on my postings, several months ago I never thought I would ever get back into the swing of crafting I had lost all thoughts of creating cards and projects, I was even tempted to sell off all my stamps including my collection of Tilda's, I did have a huge clear out but thankfully I kept the items that were dear to me.  I think the clear out did me a little good it was like sweeping away the cobwebs that seemed to be fogging my brain, I do feel like 'a born again crafter'.  It is the support and friendship that I receive from you all that has also helped me to return to my much loved craft world, so thank you again.

Now onto my card that I would like to share with you and to enter a few challenges.  I have decided to follow the challenge theme over at FITZTOWN which is to use 'browns', now I am a big lover of this colour so I had a lovely time making this one.  I have used an image that is available from Fitztown called Enchanting Elves 15a, I have coloured her with Graph It Markers, I rounded off the edges and adhered her to Kraft card, I have used a black 7 x 7 card for highlighting the papers that are from LOTV, I used my EK Success circle cutter for the central display of the image.  I have added gold organza flowers from Creative Expression, peach roses, gold gems, butterflies punched out with my Tonic punch also some little wee daisies punched out with a Hobbycraft punch, I used yellow Viva Decor for the centers of the wee daisies and the butterflies also in the image's hair, finally I added some Bronze Glass Glitter to the top of the dress.

I have taken 2 photos of the main card but at different angles so you may see a slight difference
