Corrosive Challenge GDT Card

Morning all today is the start of a new challenge at Corrosive Challenges and this is my last GDT card for them.  I have so enjoyed being their GDT for the month of June and I am sure the next GDT will enjoy it as much as I have.

The theme this week is Use Lots of Flowers which is not going to be to difficult as I know how much flowers bought or handmade mean to us lol.

Here is my card which I hope will give a little inspiration to you.

I have used an 8x8 white card base the digi image which, I am sure you will love, is called Poppy and is a new digi image available from Funky Kits.

The red and grey bp I created myself with the use of MCS graphics programme, a couple of weeks ago my Oriental Poppies were in full bloom, last year I had about two, this year I had over fourteen stems and they were a beautiful sight so I took some photos.  I reduced the photo then tiered it into the bp, the mirror card has been embossed with the butterfly embossing folder I added some ribbon, flowers and the 'poppy' word is a stamp from Joanna Sheen's Poppy Fairy collection.  The image I coloured with promarkers.

My friend who pops in for a cuppa said it looked like a strawberry....cheek...lol.

I also used the field of sky stamp around the image which I think looks like poppy seeds.

Sew Many Challenges Blog Hop & Challenge

Hi all hope you are well and enjoying the Easter holidays before I get onto my post I would love to share some wonderful news with you all  I have been chosen as one of the new DT for Sew Many Challenges. 

I was so thrilled when I found out as I have always loved working with the Sew Many Animal characters and now along with the new releases this is going to be a wonderful experience not only for me but hopefully for you as well.

This week saw the launch of a new blog hop at Sew Many Challenges where you have a chance of winning one or more of the brand new super super cute images from Angela.  If you haven't been over to have a nosey then please do so it is well worth the visit. The Sew Many Challenge this week is 'Folds' this could be gatefold, tent fold or any other fold that you fancy having a go at,  below I am showing not one but two cards I have made using a different technique the first one is new to me and I just love the finished card which is called a tri-fold.

I used basic white card stock added some backing paper which I think is Basic Grey the pink lace is the MS border punch and is my favourite so far. I added some gems and adhesive ribbon on the centre inside panel the scallops are from my SU stamping set and punch and this is the first time I have used it.  I just could not resist using my all time favourite image Jovi who I have coloured with pro markers and mounted on nestie scallops.

This second card is the 'crossover' card which I have always loved and this one I am entering into a few other challenges as well. I have used Purple and Turquoise for this one and again coloured Jovi with pro markers but this time with purples I added some Cosmic Silver Glitter, ribbon and flowers.

One card three challenges

Hello everyone before I get onto this card I would like to thank you for the lovely comments you have left me they are truly uplifting and at the moment I need a little bit of encouragement.  I am afraid I have been struggling with my depression these last few days and earlier this evening I just thought that I should give in to it but if I did it would mean that I could no longer talk to my lovely blogging buddies so I am trying to fight it as much as I can. 

Anyway enough of me let me tell you about this card I made last evening. I have used Funky Fairies backing papers from the 'New Love' collection and my Elusive Images flower stamps stamped in Versafine onto the same papers to make the centre piece. I have distressed the edeges of everything, the flowers the mount and the card itself.

It's Autumn

Hi all this is a card I managed to finish last night and is based on the Autumn theme. I have managed to tie it in to five challenges, I think, and will list them below. I have coloured the image with pro markers and distressed with copper Brilliance ink and some green Versamark, I added some cut out leaves in the top corners and some green liquid pearls. The sentiment was all in one but I decided to cut it into three and colour it in three of the same colours used in the image. Finally I added a couple of mini fir cones which I found in a field while walking the dog and a little of the spruce and must say the smell is delicious it really does smell of Autumn.
