Hi all today I would like to share with you a project that I have been working on for the last week. It is Mother's Day on Sunday here in the UK and I cannot let it pass by without giving my mum a little gift, this is the first Mothering Sunday that she is not here to celebrate with us all and my heart is breaking.
I had a MDF circle that I bought quite awhile back and deiced to make a hanger I used two of my beloved Tilda stamps they are the older style that I stamped and coloured then cut out, the papers are in shades of pink and purple which are the colours I have used for the images, I added a spray of flowers and pearls at the top and a silk flower at the bottom both these came from mums little bag of goodies that I found in her drawer, I also added a butterfly and some other flowers from my stash, I the added a circular printed sentiment attached to the bottom. I took this to my mums yesterday and hung it on the wall I will also be buying some flowers for her room.
I would like to enter my project into the following challenges:
Many thanks for taking time out to visit
have a lovely weekend
hugs

This is so pretty Lorraine and it is obvious so much love has gone onto it. It is a beautiful gift for Mother’s Day. All the “firsts” after your mum passed away are especially hard, but you will get there .. you only feel this pain now as it is a price of the love you shared, and that can never be taken away
Hugs,
Pauline xx

What a lovely though and so well executed. It is a brilliant way to mark mothers day and the first one without your Mum. Bet she would have loved it, especially as you have used some bits you found in her drawer. It really is very pretty, such a good idea too xx
This is beautiful Lorraine, a lovely and touching gift for your much-missed Mum, Sunday will be a difficult day, thinking of you and sending hugs.

Oh Lorraine, this is a wonderful sweet tribute to your beloved Mum at Mother's Day and I'm sure that She could see it from the sky and smiles. The hanger looks delicious with the two Tilda stamps so beautifully coloured and the paper behind the MDF has amazing colours! Love the flowers from your Mum bag and the little butterflies! That's just so lovely Lorraine. I lost my mum recently too! We don't celebrate Mother's Day until May in Australia but this week would have been her birthday and it was tough! I hope you found some comfort in your crafting!
