WINGS AND OR TAILS PLUS A LITTLE CANDLE LIGHT

Hi all, today is the start of our new challenge at

ALLSORTS

the theme chosen by Ellie is

WINGS AND/OR TAILS

the prizes that can be won are from one of my favourite stamp companies

WOODWARE

there is a prize each for two lucky winners

For my DT card I have used an old wood mounted stamp not sure where I got it from or whose it is but I have had it for many years.
I stamped the image with Versafine Onyx then actually water coloured it using Tim Holtz distressed inks I am afraid it looks a little insipid on here but in real life it is quite lovely
I stenciled the background added punched snowflakes, stamped sentiment and a bow
I would like to enter this card into the challenge at

For my second card I used another stamp that has not seen the light of day for some years, it is one from Elizabeth Bell I think it is called Candle Light
I stamped her and coloured her with Copics, then cut out the image with a shaped die, I also used die cut stars and punched snowflakes, the papers are from my stash
I would like to enter this one into the challenges at:

Sorry I have not been around these last few days, on Thursday my brother and I found out that the current care company has cancelled my mums care package, a gentleman visited us that day to aske numerous questions to try and put a new package in for Monday.
Fortunately he arrived while the two carers and the OT were with mum so he could get some information from them, unfortunately there were more people around than normal and mum got worried and agitated.
Not knowing how things are going to work out and any new team will need our guidance to start with, I may be MIA on and off, I had great sadness to drop 3 of the DT teams I served on they have been so kind and understanding, I am going to fit my crafting in but I do not want to let anyone down by promising that I can complete a project then fail.
A little bit of good news is that mum and brother are finally having their COVID boosters on Monday.
Things are not good at the moment there seems to be so much stress around and I am not a fan of the festive season I am hoping that I can keep on top of my depression as I need to stay strong for my mum and bro.
I want to thank everyone for popping by and supporting me even when I am not around, I normally like to repay your kindness I will endeavor to do some visiting a little late until the please take care and stay safe
hugs
lolo x

Your cards are both gorgeous Lorraine, love the sweet stamp on the first one, very impressed with your water colouring, it ooks wonderful. The second is so pretty with the cute little girl and lovely frosty colours.
So sorry that you're having problems with your Mum's care - I know how upsetting it is for her to have new and unfamiliar carers around her- my Mum got really attached to her cares and hated it when they changed. I hope the new people are nice and she soon gets used to them.
Shame about your DTs, I'm sure they will miss you but you're right to remove as many of the pressures on yourself as possible.
Take care and look after yourself too- when all else fails- hug a grandchild!

Two lovely creation Lorraine, but as I said earlier so annoyed at yet another NHS mess up, seems one thing after another with them doesn't it.

Stay strong, I know it can be difficult for you as you are carrying the stress for your Mum and Brother as well, but you will get past it. Try and keep one eye on the months ahead, get past Christmas and Spring will be on its way. If you are anything like me it's that thought which keeps me going during the winter days.

Two fabulous creations Lorraine, really loving those birds! It may be one of Penny Black's old wood mounted stamps, but I could be wrong. And such a pretty Elizabeth Bell image too, I have several of hers stashed away too but it's been a while since I've inked them up.

Oh goodness what a lot of worry for you right now. I hope that a care package can be resumed asap. Not a good thing to have happen any time but especially not at Christmas. I love your first card to bits. I would say that it quite looks like Crafty Inidvidual's style but they don't do wooden stamps. Stay safe and well and calm. Hugs Mrs A.

Well the watercolour is NOT inspid it is beautiful and delicate. The EB image is so lovely, I think I have some of her images in an art pad somewhere too. I am sorry you are having a hard time at the moment but you are a lovely, caring person and you will get through it. Hugs and good wishes for you and yours. Vee xx

Beautiful bird stamp Lorraine, it's great to get out our old wooden stamps sets and have a play..love the soft colours too..and the sweet little girl with her candle is adorable..
I'm glad things are getting sorted with your Mum and and hope she is settled now, not good to hear she is agitated, you take good care of yourself and you will be strong for your Mum and brother, just think happy thoughts, take deep breaths, and imagine everyone who you think is an idiot is naked, that should amuse your mind a bit and make you smile..take care, lots of love..

Wonderful cards, I particularly love the Robins. I was in the garden this morning and a little Robin came right up to me to inspect what I was doing. It happens regularly, they are so cute. So sorry to hear you are in the middle of change with your Mums care. You needn't worry about visiting blogs, sometimes something just has to give xx
