Hi all, today is the start of our new weekly challenge at
the theme is
SHABBY CHIC
our lovely sponsor is
and here is my DT card, I had a vision of what I wanted to create in my head but it just did not turn out as I had pictured, however, I did get to use two rubber stamps that I have had for years the dress and the fan both of which came from Joanna Sheen and both have been heat embossed with gold embossing powder. I have used LOTV papers for the base but I got carried away with adding so many things that they have been covered up except I used the same papers to stamp the fan and dress on. I actually added a wide panel of lace topped with a dusky rose coloured lace, I added a triple organza bow, although I have a bow maker I tend to make these with my own hand, it's just that I am so used to doing it like that. I added a stamped sentiment, rustic heart, a SU stamped bird punched out with the matching SU punch, the flowers I made myself using some material ribbon that I bought many moons ago from Create & Craft it was in the days when Sue Wilson used to make flowers and other things before the die cutting rage started. I used my hot glue gun to adhere these to gold disc's, I topped them with roses added some leaves and Chrysanthemums.

That happens so often Lorraine, but it still turned out beautifully, I always struggle with shabby chic but I think you nailed it here.

I find 'shabby chic' so difficult to achieve as I end up making it grungy somehow but you have done a fab job and have so many lovely details on your card.

Lorraine its a real stunner even if you didn't get it to go to plan. Its lush, so much texture and so so feminine. I just love it. Hope your spark gets ignited again soon.
