Hi all, hope you are enjoying the May Bank Holiday, it has been raining here but it looks so lush and green, the birds are busy eating all the food I put out for them, can't keep up, will have to go buy more today.
My card I am sharing with you today features a stamp that I bought a long time ago, I had always loved her when I saw her around in blogland, it took me awhile to buy the stamp as it was always out of stock but patience paid off. I haven't seen her in awhile but when rummaging through my stamps I just had to use her.
I used Versafine Sepia ink to stamp her then coloured her with Copics I added silver glitter the the ends of her feathers, her hat and dress. I also added TH Gold distress stickles to the flowers.
The papers are new to me they are from Papermania Blush Midnight Capsule Collection, this is the first time I have used them but thought they went lovely with the image. I added a row of pearl flowers, gold taffeta bow, the white flowers are actually lace I cut them into separate flowers then added red carnations and a leaf.

Wow Lorraine this is a real stunner! A fabulous image coloured so beautifully and you are right the papers go so well. The lace flowers and the taffeta bow embellishments are gorgeous. A truly beautiful card.

No wonder you've had your eye on this stamp for so long! It's beautiful, Lorraine. I like the glitzy background papers, and the fabric adornments so prevalent in that day (of the fashion). Like you, our April showers have brought a lot of wonderful spring green. We have only 2 feeders, but it is a full time job keeping them full, even tho the feeders are rigged to close up if anything heavier than a cardinal touches them. We love our birds. The blue jays and wood peckers have learned to steal food from the feeders while remaining in flight mode! Hope your week is a great one! hugs, de
