10 Jun 2012

Hi all, I would like to thank you for leaving me such wonderful comments on my posts, your continued support, encouragement and friendship mean so much to me.
Today I have some cards to show you that I have been quietly making this last week.  I have titled this post 'Mixed Bag' not only for my cards but today is a little different for me.  It is Polo's 17th birthday it is also the anniversary of my Dad's death, he passed away 35 years ago.
Polo is deteriorating in health week by week, the tablets are not working as well as they were the Vet has also told me that he has a heart murmur and rapid heart beat.  I am torn at the moment as to what to do but I just cannot say goodbye to him yet.
Anyway onto my cards, I have made a male card using a Di'd Digi image, I have had this one for such a long time and have had the pleasure of using him several times.  I hope that this will fit the 'Fathers Day' challenges that I would like to enter which are:
I coloured the image with promarkers the papers are from my stash, I added brown satin ribbon, buttons, card candy and stamped sentiment.
My next card I made is using a Digi Image from Crafts and Me, I have gone for a green theme, the papers are from Papermania Capsule collection, I added butterflies and flowers. I would like to enter this card into the challenge at
My third and final card is for an order that I received, in fact I had a request from two different people for a Wedding card this is the only one I took a photo of.  The paper is Papermania I added corner and centre die cuts as well as the hearts, I added a double bow of pink organza ribbon, flowers and sentiment.
I would like to enter this one into the challenge at
Well that is it from me on the post front until tomorrow but I will be back later to do some commenting, until then I wish you all a great weekend.

Hi Sweetheart, Im so sorry to hear that youve have two painful things on your mind at the moment, its not easy coming to terms with knowing youve got to let go, but Im sure you will know when Polo has had enough and will make the right decision then, just enjoy what time you have left with him.
Stunning cards I love them both, your designs are just gorgeous. hugs Shirleyxxxx

All your cards are Gorgeous Lorraine x

I know exactly how you feel with your pet. My staffie has been battling cancer for over 3 yrs now. The vet said on his last op which was to remove mass tumour cells that he would not operate again. Vinnie has bumps galore over him, some are really big, but he has not changed. He is still so lively, & I know any day now I will have my last trip to the vets, but like you I cannot bring myself to doing it yet!!

Keeping you in my prayers sweetie, I know how hard it is to lose your parent, and I don't think we ever get over it.
Also I know it has to be hard with your fur baby...we love them like our babies...hopefully you will be able to make a decision that is best for Polo...I also miss my fur babies but knew I couldn't keep them here for myself when I knew they were in pain and their quality of life wasn't there anymore.
Hang in there you have so many people thinking of you.
