Hi all a few weeks ago I was asked if I would like to be a Guest DT for the month of June at
Pixie Dust Studios and guess what......I said YES, lol.
I felt so honoured and chuffed that they felt I was worthy of this wonderful opportunity and so pleased to be a June Pixie...I love it, lol.
The challenge this week is
We would love to see your homemade embellishments and I know that there are so many wonderful talented people out there that show such fabulous items such as flowers, buttons, etc, and we really want to see them.
Here is my GDT card.
I decided to use the June Pixie for my card and have coloured her with Copics, I also used Glittered Red Crystal Lacquer for her hat and Glossy Accents for her trousers and the Strawberry.
The papers are all Bearlymine, I added some gingham ribbon, die cut, embossed sentiment and used an oval Nestie for the frame.
I have been watching alot of Create and Craft and picked up a few great ideas one of which was to make your own gems with mirri card, I used my multi Pinflair punch with the star die and punched three little mirri board gems. The flowers I made using punches the base flowers are punched from the Tonic flower punch, then I punched some green retro flowers and red icicles. All these punched elements went to make up my three flowers the icicles are the centre of the flowers which look like stamens, this was a tip I picked up from Stef at C&C.
I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:
It would be great if you could come join the challenge at
My next card is a Tilda that I have had for a very long time but this is the first time I have inked her up. I have called her 'Bookworm Tilda'. I stamped her with Onyx Black Versafine ink then cut her out and coloured with Copics. The papers are Kim&Co and I have used several layer including the circle scalloped Nesties. I have used TH Distress inks to distress the papers and stamped sentiment. The flower I made myself using, once again the circle scalloped Nesties. I used a tip that was shown by Dawn Bibby on C&C which was to cut each of the scallops, I then distressed the edges and used a bone folder to curve them outwards, the papers I used for all the scallops I think is SU. I finished off by adding a pink petal and sparkle button also a couple of butterflies and pink liquid pearls.
I would like to enter this one into the following challenges:
I have used Glossy Accents for Tilda's glasses.
Well that is it from me for today but I hope you have enjoyed your visit and like what you have seen, please don't forget to come join us at
Pixie Dust Studios this week.
Hugs
