Stampin for The Weekend

This is my entry for this week's Stampin for the Weekend Challenge the theme being 'Vintage' I love vintage and there are some blogs I visit who do vintage perfectly although I love it I seem to have a problem getting it right. I thought this image from Mo's would suit the theme and she reminds me of Laura Ingalls from the Little House on the Prairie and is actually called the Prairie Girl. I have used Bearlymine backing papers added some of that string effect lace and topped it with some blue grosgrain ribbon, I added some flowers and little butterflies and some swirls from my new punch.

I would like to apologise for not doing my regular visits to you all of late but I have been suffering from a visit of my to often unwanted guest......depression. I didn't even think I would get these cards done as I just could not get into the crafting mode. However, I did manage to visit some of you in the early hours of this morning and it really helped me. Hugs to all.

Lorraine, this is a fantastic card, you are right about the image, I loved "little house on the prairie". I am sorry that you are feeling low, I know that this is a very debilitating illness, my SIL who died in June was a sufferer and my phone line was open to her 24/7. hope you have this too, I am here if you need to chat...avrilwatson@gmail.com..huge hugs coming your way......Avril xxxx

lorraine this card is stunning, you really have vintage down to a tee. The depression is probably brought on by worry over your Mum,these things always creep up on me too, you cope at the time and the moment you let your guard down you hit bottom. hope you get a little lift soon and my email is always open for a chat too. Hugs

oh yes me toooo!! (loved Little houseonthe Prairie, she sells that make up now, (Shear-cover?) on the telly!) ) This card is lovely, Love those papers and the image is just so pretty!!
I know all about the dreaded 'D' word, my latest dr wants me on drugs, but I've told him, I've taken the test, (I had to rewrite it!) so I'm not 'd' i'm just a little do-dally.

Just the cutest card! She does look like Laura.
Thank you for your kind words on my last card. I would send you a doughnut if I knew it would make you feel better. A little sugar can help sometime. But a hug works better. So I am sending you a big hug and a smile. The big D is always a step to close to me too and sometimes it is hard to stay a head of him.
Take care of your self. Get some rest and sunshine if you can.
Hugs,
Linda

Lorraine, what a lovely card. I grew up with Little House on the Prairie - you can work out my age maybe from that - but I loved the programme. The little girl does look like one of the Ingalls. I'm sorry to hear you are feeling a bit low with the "d" word. I would love to come and give you some real hugs but as you are so far away I am sending you some big juicy cyber hugs. Hope Mummy is keeping OK as well. Take care my friend, Kym xxx
