Some Enchanted Evening

Well I have managed to create this card today which I hope you will like.  It is my entry for this weeks Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge.  I have used a Joanna Sheen stamp which is one from a set of two dresses that are based on similar ones worn by Scarlett O'Hara in Gone With The Wind there are sentiments that you get with it but they didn't fit into my banner.  I certainly think this dress would be worn by a Southern Belle for sure.  I stamped with Versamark and heat embossed with a Mica embossing powder called 'peanut butter' and gosh it looks yummy.  I have used a couple of free download papers from Bearlymine which I think suits this particular era well.  In fact I am trying to order the CD with these backing papers on because I have fallen in love with them.  I have added some glitter peel off's for the edgings as detailed in the sketch, printed off a banner from My Craft Studio and added the text also added some flowers and gems which any lady would have if she were wearing this beautiful creation which by the way (nearly forgot) was coloured with H2o's. Hugs to you all.

Hi Lorraine!
This is a beautiful card! That dress is absolutely gorgeous, love all the detail to the image and added sparkle! Those papers are pretty awesome and it all adds up to a beautiful card!
I would love to live in the era of dressing like that, but I wouldn't be happy in the summer to sit and sip lemonade...I'd need air conditioning! lol
blessings, Maria

So good to know you are feeling a bit better, Lorraine. Both your new cards are lovely. Love the paper on this one; the swirls are very elegant. They are just right for the devine little dress. Hope you feel like making some more over the weekend.

This is gorgeous, the papers (I've bookmarked the site to check it out later) and the dress - which looks as if it's actually a real material dress in miniature. Fabby card.
