Chi Chi Summer Fun

Hi all today I would like to show you my Chi Chi Memories DT card using and image from the Summer Fun set available from Chi chi Memories this is the full set

and here is my card

I had a little fun while making this card using different colours for the background then adding the little Summer boy on his swing.

I used a blue gingham paper not sure whose it is found it in my stash box, the owl paper is from the Papermania pad that was part of my candy win from Cheryl, I mounted both pieces onto blue card the central image is a background from our lovely Spyder aka Lyn and can be found HERE. I coloured everything with promarkers. I cut the little boy and swing out with a craft knife then cut two tiny slits in the tree popped the top of the swing through so the image is actually free and moves. I also added some card candy.

Sew Many Challenges #19 DT Project

Hi all today is a new challenge at Sew Many Challenges and this week Anything Goes, yep you can enter any project you like.

Our sponsor is Stitchy Bear and the winner will get a choice of three images.

Here is my project there are quite a few photos for you to look at I hope you will find a little inspiration.

Well here it is....is it a handbag?..........scroll down and you will see lol.

The flower is from my stash the sentiment is from Sew Many Cards, the papers and card are SU. This second picture is a side view.

Now for the inside.........it is actually a mini photo album in the shape of a bag lol.

I followed Maria's tutorial and took me a little time because I only had one paper CD holder and it had writing on so I made a template and used some 12x12 papermania papers to make my own CD folders the middle I cut out with a scalloped circle Nestie and covered the inside openings with acetate for protection of the photos.

I used the Sew Many Cards image Ellis with Flower then using MCS graphics programme I copied the image and flipped one, I coloured both with promarkers then inserted them into the 'photo' slots. I used a punch for the flowers and card candy for their centres.

I took a couple of photos of the inside at different angles so you could have a better look.

This is a photo showing how the pictures are inserted and can be changed at any time but I rather like the look of Ellis, I hope you do as well.

Fun at Fairy Knoll#5

Morning all today we have a new sketch for you to play with at Fairy Knoll, you can flip it embellish how you want but the main sketch should still be seen.

Here is my card

For my card I have chosen to use Becks and coloured with promarkers, I flipped the sketch to accommodate the image.  I won some candy from Cheryl a couple of weeks ago and I am using two of the items the first being the bp which is Papermania and the beads which came in a little packet with some buttons.  I used my raffia ribbon then tied both the beads and flowers to the raffia ribbon with the metal stems I was quite pleased with the finished card.

Some news to share

Hi all I just wanted to share some news with you.  I am so very proud to say that I was chosen as a new DT member for both Whimsy Digital Stamps and One Stitch at a Time.

I received the news about Whimsy a few days ago but was just waiting for the details, Whimsy Stamps now have a new DT just for Digital Images and I was chosen as one of the new DT, as you can imagine I am so thrilled to be part of these groups. 

I think I am still in a state of total numbness to think that my work is of a standard that I have been chosen to represent them and indeed all the teams that I design for.

I am so proud that I have been able to achieve, what I believed at the beginning, to be unattainable to me.

I would just like to thank you all for your much treasured support and encouragement as I know that without you I would never have travelled so far in the land of blog.

I also wanted to offer my own words of encouragement to crafters who have a dream of joining a DT for the first time, it can be done and please never give up.  

The wonderful inspiration and creativity that I see on a daily basis is amazing it has and still is a great source of joy and happiness to me.
