SOMEDAY I'LL FLY AWAY

Good morning all I hope that you are enjoying the weekend.

I omitted to tell you in my last post that one of the reasons I am not about or doing much crafting is that my mum's health has not been too good, she was taken into hospital last Wednesday and seems to be improving, I am off to visit with her this afternoon, hopefully she will be home with us again soon.

I have finally decided to post this card that I made sometime ago but never blogged, the image is a digi by Elisabeth Bell, the papers are from my stash, I have used both die cuts and punches, pearls and a stamped gold embossed sentiment.
I would like to enter my card into the following challenges:

My second piece of news is that my son James and his girlfriend are having a baby, it is due in Feb 2017, I will be a Nan, how wonderful is that.  Once I heard the news I felt that I needed to resurrect my crochet tools and have ago at making some baby stuff, so far I have made several hats, including one with bunny ears, baby jackets, pants and mittens, apart from the hats I have never done anything like this before but I am more than pleased with the outcome.

Many, many thanks for taking time out to visit one very hit and miss blogger, I am hoping that maybe one day soon I will find my creativity and love of crafting again, I am very much enjoying seeing all your beautiful creations, you are all such a big inspiration to me and have influenced my crafting over the years, you are all so kind and supportive, thank you so much.

I am sorry I am not about much either. Most of my cards have been scheduled right up to November. So they will pop up without it really being me here.

So sorry to hear your Mom is having health issues again, but hope she is soon on the mend, and your life won't be one of hospital visits or caregiving. Congrats on becoming a new Grandma too. Loved all the sweet & colorful little knitted goodies. Lucky baby to have such a talented Grandmother! And one who is willing to make the effort for handmade. Loved the cute little fairy card too. I think many of us are at the same place with cardmaking and blogging. Sometimes you just need to step back, take a breather, do what Life is handing you just then, and come back renewed. Big hugs & TFS

Well Lorraine what a fantastic card. That little digi image, is so cute I couldn't get over her ever so cute face. I'm so sad to hear your mums not well. Its so hard as we get older that means our parents do to and it seems to bring so much heartache with it. I just spent the last three days with mum and dad and as their alzehimers advances I see less and less of the parents who have been my guiding light and more and more of wilful children who constantly need to be reminded how to act. Luckily for me they enjoy my humour and that is what I use to get by through the days.
Now the good news - a grandmother - ahh you will so enjoy that and will probably find your crafty card making will come back when its time for cards to celebrate those special occasions. What amazing pieces you have already made, this is going to be one lucky little bundle. Ahh the smell and feel of a new born as they snuggle into you, nothing beats that. Enjoy every moment. Hugs aileen

I have always loved this stamp and you have colored it beautifully! Next I am sorry to hear about your mom, I am praying for her and for you! It is so difficult to watch our parents when they are ill and there is little we can do for them. I have lost both my parents and it is a difficult time. But, I am so excited that your have a wonderful silver lining in your cloud. I can promise you there is nothing so wonderful as being a 'grammy' or in your case a "Nan". I am so happy for you and I love, love, love your beautiful crochet creations. (Especially the bunny ears!)You should be very pleased with the outcome they are darling. Have a great week!
